So many messages asking about how my face looks now so here is a quick update. . .

I’m officially four days out and killing it! You can see I have some of the MENDS (coffee grounds) still, mainly over my intense melasma spots, but it is not bad AT ALL! I have no makeup on and people aren’t even asking me about it anymore.

Day #2!

I woke up this am with some puffy eyes, this is normal for me and affects about half of my patients. I am taking ibuprofen and Zyrtec to help. I also have mends popping up everywhere!!! These are microscopic endovascular necrotic debris (ie dead skin cells). They look a bit like coffee grounds and make my face feel like sandpaper. They will slough off in a few days!

I don’t have makeup on but you could if you wanted. I am wearing some sunscreen but will try to avoid direct sun for a few more days. Zero pain, just excitement to see the skin underneath!

Night #1!

Few things you need to know:
1. Yes Moxi is uncomfortable, numbing is STRONGLY encouraged. We use a topical cream, applied for about 20 minutes. Once numb, it is very tolerable
2. Once done, your face feels like it is on 🔥 the cooling mask helps a ton. I wouldn’t recommend a gym workout, sun exposure, makeup application or the use of a hot tub/sauna that day
3. You are red and may even notice immediate darkening of pigment. This almost looks like coffee grounds. I also swell. . . Everytime. This is most noticeable around my eyes, I use Benadryl and Zyrtec to control it
