The Kentucky Derby was established in 1875 and is held annually on the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky. It is the oldest American sporting event still being staged and is widely considered the most prestigious in horse racing!! Congratulations to Sovereignty, winner of the 151st Kentucky Derby!!

Staff had a great time on May 2nd putting together outfits and parading through the dining room for a fashion show. Residents got to vote on best dressed & learn about the history of the Kentucky Derby. Here at Avantara Arrowhead we love to participate in Dress-up days!!
