Children's Therapy Services is located in Rapid City, SD. We currently provide outreach Speech/Language, Occupational, and Physical Therapy services. We are also now providing Special Education Services with a Special Education Instructor. We are moving in a very new and positive direction and would like to provide more outreach services related to all spectrums of Autism. Empower your child by empowering yourself! This workshop—led by Caroline Smith, our Occupational Therapist—gives parents practical, science-based tools to build resilience, boost motivation, and support a love for learning. Learn how to increase frustration tolerance, coach kids through “boring” tasks, bust procrastination myths, and end homework battles—without the stress.

RCAS families, if your household could use extra food support this month, we’ve got you covered!

Date: Thursday, November 20, 2025
Time: 3:30–5:00 PM (or until boxes run out) – line up starts at 3:00 PM
Location: RCAA Parking Lot, 601 Columbus Street (front lot only – please do not line up out back)

This month’s pantry will be a drive-through distribution of pre-packed food boxes.

Who can participate:

âś… The adult listed as the primary family in Skyward
âś… Any form of ID is accepted

Build Confidence with Food!​

~Structured Group Session​
Sessions are 60 minutes long and led by licensed occupational therapist Ms. Caroline, in a nurturing group setting. ​

~Designed for kids ages 5-10. Group size up to 6 kids.​

~Education and Focus​
Engage in a variety of sensory exploration to build body awareness.

Education on nutrition and exploration of food attributes in a safe and friendly way. Facilitate how to manage avoidance and anxiety.​

Actionable strategies and resources to support home routines and sensory diet
activities.​

~Benefits and Cost​
Improved sensory tolerance, enhance curiosity and flexibility, social modeling and peer interaction, reduced mealtime anxiety.​

Join Us For Our Handwriting Workshop!

Structured Group Sessions
~Sessions are 60 minutes long and led by licensed occupational therapist Ms. Caroline, in a nurturing group setting. ​

~Designed for elementary age (6-10 years old). Group size up to 6 kids. ​

Developmental and Sensory Focus​
~Activities target sensory processing for regulation, motor planning for fine motor skills.
~With a goal to support development of strength and coordination in fine motor skills and handwriting.​

Social and Emotional Growth​
~Group format encourages peer interaction, social skill development, and emotional resilience education and practice to support ability to move through frustration and challenge in healthy and meaningful ways.​

Benefits and Cost​
~Participants gain improved self-regulation and resilience skills, fine motor coordination in handwriting, confidence in ability, and flexible thinking. ​

$5K Sign-on Bonus Available

**Must have an Associates Degree of Applied Science in Speech and Language Pathologist Assisting**

Duties:
1) Assist speech-language pathologists in the conduct of client screenings or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing.
2) Implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by speech-language pathologists.
3) Assist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.
4) Collect and compile data to document clients' performance or assess program quality.
5) Document clients' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives.
6) Test or maintain equipment to ensure correct performance.
7) Assist speech-language pathologists in the conduct of speech-language research projects.
8) Conduct in-service training sessions, or family and community education programs.
9) Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
10) Travel to schools in the surrounding Mitchell Area, (Roughly 3 hours south of Michell, SD-Company vehicle provided)
