I realized recently that many of you trust our team with your children every single day, and yet you may not know much about the person behind the scenes who carries the responsibility for the vision and direction of both Impact Learning and Development and Impact Kidz Academy.
I am Nancy, a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, former teacher (general education, special education, and multi-sensory instruction), and someone who has built these organizations from a deep belief that children, especially those with significant needs, deserve environments that see their strengths before their challenges. I have sat at IEP tables where parents felt unheard. I have been the teacher trying to stretch limited resources to meet complex needs. I have also been the leader who lies awake at night thinking about staffing ratios, clinical integrity, and whether we are doing enough.
Impact was created because I believed we could do better.
Outside of work, you will often find me hanging out with my husband, on a hiking trail, on a paddleboard, covered in dog hair from my very spoiled dogs. Being outside helps me reset. It reminds me that growth takes time, that steady effort matters, and that the long view is often the right one. Those same principles guide how I lead.
My passion for these organizations is not about expansion or recognition. It is about creating places where children feel safe, parents feel supported, and team members feel proud of the work they are doing. It is about raising the standard of care in our community and doing it in a way that is thoughtful, ethical, and sustainable.
Thank you for being part of this community and for trusting us with what matters most to you.
I look forward to taking more opportunities in the near future to introduce you to the amazing team that spends their days pouring into Impact children.
