Two technicians walk into a hangar... a Pilot and a Deputy Sheriff come out!

Our pilot on this mission had worked at Rapid Avionics , as did Deputy Sheriff Fremo. Pretty cool to see some of our own while out on a mission.

Funny how small the aviation world really is. ✈️🚔

We had the chance to catch up with a familiar face on the ramp — Tate, a former Rapid Avionics employee who is now serving the community as a Brule County law enforcement officer. It’s always great running into people who have been part of the aviation family, no matter where their path takes them.

One thing aviation teaches you is that dedication, teamwork, and service carry over into every career. Whether it’s keeping aircraft mission-ready in the hangar or protecting communities on the road, that same commitment to helping others never changes.

Moments like this are a reminder of how connected these industries really are. From avionics shops to air medical operations to law enforcement, it all comes back to people working hard, serving others, and showing up when it matters most.

Safe skies and safe roads to all those out there serving their communities every day. Glad we got to cross paths again! 👏🚓✈️
