May is Mental Health Awareness Month 💚

Clinical depression isn’t just a bad day or a rough week, it’s a condition that can affect how you think, feel, and function day to day.

Some common signs include:
😔 Feeling persistently sad, empty, or hopeless
😴 Sleeping too much or struggling to sleep at all
⚡ Low energy that doesn’t improve with rest
🍽️ Noticeable changes in appetite or weight
🧠 Trouble concentrating or making decisions
🚫 Losing interest in activities you once enjoyed

These symptoms can build over time, and many people try to push through them, but they’re important signals from your body and mind.

If you’re noticing these signs, it’s important to talk with your provider. Support is available, and our clinics have a behavioral health team who can help you navigate what you’re experiencing and explore next steps. 🤝

You don’t have to ignore it, and you don’t have to handle it on your own. 💚

🏈 Keeping Paris Students Game-Ready, Right Where They Are

Big things are happening at our Paris Wellness Center this week!

We’re proud to be partnering with Paris Schools to provide on-campus athletic physicals for student athletes, making it easier, faster, and more convenient for families to get what they need without extra trips or long waits.

From 7th graders just getting started to high school athletes preparing for the season, our team is helping students stay healthy, cleared, and ready to compete.

With support from school staff and our clinical team working together, we’re able to keep the process smooth and efficient, so students can focus on what matters most: school, sports, and staying active.

📅 Physicals are taking place throughout the next couple of weeks, with a make-up date available for those who need it.

If your student missed their scheduled time, no problem, appointments can still be made at our clinic.

Local care. School-based convenience. Health that keeps up with your life.

💸 Stress isn’t always about time… sometimes it’s about cost.

Medical bills, unexpected visits, choosing between care and other essentials, that kind of stress adds up fast.

At River Valley Primary Care Services, we believe getting care shouldn’t add to your stress.

🩺 Our Sliding Fee Discount Program helps make visits more affordable based on your household size and income

🚫 Avoid costly emergency room visits for non-emergencies
📍 Multiple locations across the River Valley with care that’s close to home

Because when care is accessible and affordable, it’s one less thing weighing on you.

This Stress Awareness Month, take a step toward peace of mind, your health (and your wallet) matter.

Big day out in the community for our Behavioral Health team 🧠🏥

Today, our team was on the move, connecting, supporting, and showing up for the people we serve across the River Valley area.

One of the highlights was attending The Guidance Center’s 54th Anniversary Luncheon 🎉, celebrating the lasting impact they’ve made in expanding access to mental health care in our region. Events like this are a reminder of what’s possible when organizations come together with a shared mission 🤝

We were also present at the Sebastian County Opioid Task Force Summit today, joining others focused on addressing substance use and strengthening support systems across our community 🤝

We also want to shine a light on Horizon Treatment Center in Booneville. They provide residential treatment for individuals facing substance use disorders and are doing meaningful, life-changing work. Having strong partners like this ensures our patients have access to the care they need at every stage of their journey. 🙌
