It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that the Miners Colfax Medical Center Board of Trustees and MCMC Leadership Team announce the appointment of Mr. Brian Cotter as our new Chief Executive Officer, effective November 24, 2025.
Brian is a seasoned healthcare executive with more than thirty (30) years of experience in the healthcare industry. Brian is a military veteran with extensive leadership experience in healthcare operations, financial performance, strategic development, and integration across the healthcare continuum. His expertise spans acute care, post-acute care, revenue cycle management and physician relations. He has served as CEO, CFO and consultant for hospitals ranging from critical access to large medical centers.
Brian earned his Master of Business Administration from Columbus University and has sixteen (16) years of experience as an emergency room and intensive care nurse. He is a strong advocate for partnering with local and regional organizations.
The Board and the MCMC Leadership team is confident that Brian’s vision and expertise will guide MCMC through its next phase of growth and help to achieve new heights in delivering exceptional care to the beneficiaries of the Miner’s Trust Fund and the people of northeastern New Mexico.

Please help us welcome Brandy Lane-Gilyard, APRN, FNP-C, our newest addition to the MCMC Primary Care Clinic.

Brandy Lane-Gilyard is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She has more than 18 years of healthcare experience having worked in multiple specialties including Telemetry, Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Long Term Acute Care, Internal Medicine, Telehealth Medicine and Family Medicine/Primary Care.

Brandy’s #1 focus is going above and beyond for each patient, providing superior care to all, making patients feel comfortable and at ease, putting a smile on each patients face, listening to the needs of each patient and formulating an individualized plan of care for each patient.

Brandy has all five star reviews on Google review.

Brandy received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Northwestern State University. And she holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing from Northwestern State University.

Brandy has served as a preceptor to many nursing students/fellow nurses and nurse practitioner students.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and serving the community with her organizations Jack and Jill of America, LLC and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

Our Healthcare Clue game has reached its exiting (and tasty) conclusion! Our team enjoyed podcasts with new clues each day to eliminate locations, culprits, and weapons. With a dash of comedy and a heapin' helpin' of fun we all impatiently awaited the big reveal. Only the brightest and most dedicated among us rose to the top and solved the mystery. Congrats to our winners!
This team building adventure brought us closer together with smiles and laughter, making us a better crew to help serve you, our patients.
