The theme for Annevar this year is “Hometown Heroes.” Please consider supporting our very own heroes in this wonderful community! These shirts are available for a goodwill donation. All proceeds will help us purchase much needed equipment. Please comment on the ORIGINAL post or message this page directly with the number of shirts and sizes you would like to order. Depending on the number of shirts ordered, we may not be able to guarantee delivery by Annevar. Please remember that the Ravenna EMS service is not a tax funded service. We receive all our funds through billing and the generosity of our donors. This enables us to provide you all with the best pre hospital care possible. We would like to congratulate the RHS Class of 2025! Congratulations to each and every one of you! Good luck and best wishes in all your future endeavors! A special shout out Ricky Kroll. Ricky has volunteered his time with both Ravenna Fire and Ravenna EMS and we are so grateful for all his help. Congratulations Ricky, and Thank You! We hope you all enjoy this graduation weekend and as always, please be safe!

Every month we do training to keep our skills sharp and meet our continued education requirements for the state. Last month we did scenario based training where we all got to play both a patient and provider. Let’s just say I don’t think any of us will be giving up our day jobs for an acting career…….

Grand Island campus will be holding summer EMT. Class starts May 27-July 31. Tuesdays and Thursdays 1-5pm. Please contact Misty Peterson mistypeterson@cccneb.edu or call 308-398-7950 to get registered.

Last night, the annual Fireman’s Ball was held in Ravenna. Every year we gather to raise funds for the fire department, cut a rug, and recognize our volunteers in the fire department and EMS. Last night, we recognized Joey Psota for 5 years of service, Kim McKeon and Brenda Adams (not pictured) for 10 years of service, and DeWayne Thomsen for 25 years of service. Danielle Reicks was named as EMT of the Year. Michael Techmeier was named as Fireman of the Year. Emily Ripp received the Mark Miigerl “Grey Area Award” for EMS, and Ricky Kroll was recognized for all the time and effort he has put in to help with both fire and EMS. Thank you to ALL of our volunteers for making sure that Ravenna and surrounding communities continue to have these vital emergency services available to them 24/7/365! We appreciate every one of you for your dedication to our communities and the services you provide!
