Had dads 3 month check up at OSU today, and first follow up since new treatment. In this long battle of so many lines of treatment we heard words we've never heard.... YOUR CANCER IS IN REMISSION!!!!! Labs look great and this treatment looks very promising.

Wanted to give an update on Kevin. He completed his treatment at OSU. He was there from Tuesday until the following Friday. His treatment days were postponed some due to needing blood. He ended up getting 5 pints of blood while he was there. Lucking he did not have any side effects from the treatments. Big praise: his cancer number declined over 1,000 with the initial treatment!!! He will travel back to OSU this Friday for another treatment. Please continue to pray for him and his family as well. We are very hopeful this treatment will work for him.

We would like to ask for prayers for a friend we met on dads cancer journey. Kevin Hutchinson and dad were diagnosed at almost the same time with multiple myeloma. He and his wife were told about our page and reached out to us. We became friends and have been in contact ever since. Unfortunately Kevin is battling MM again. Tomorrow he heads to OSU for the same week long hospital visit dad did in May to begin the same treatment plan. We ask that you lift him, his sweet wife, and their family up in prayer. We pray he has no side effects with the treatment and that his body responds fully with complete remission.

DAD UPDATE: We promised to keep updating everyone on dad especially after the crazy chemo journey this spring. Dad was admitted to OSU in May to start a new chemo, Tecvayli. It is newly out of clinical trials and isn't an option until at least 4 other failed treatment lines.

He was in his second cycle when they did his first Mayo Clinic labs (these check
His cancer numbers). We have gotten them back with good results!!!

The Monoclonal protein is a protein you produce when you have multiple myeloma. Dads kept creeping up and was at its highest when they decided to start this treatment. It was 2.45. The goal of this treatment is to see it drop by at least 50% in the first few months. Dads first labs show it if now 0.41. The ultimate goal is 0, but this is the lowest his number has ever been!!! Its more than 50% which makes us VERY happy.

This chemo does seem to wear him down a little more and the heat gets to him. But it is such a weight lifted to know a treatment is working! We thank you all for your continued prayers and please continue!!!

As for now, we are all enjoying summer. Him and mom like taking drives, doing a little shopping, eating, and walking.

138 days of the 2025 season.... Still countless doctor appointments, even a 9 day hospital stay during our hectic time. However, we survived and succeeded! We are exhausted and ready for some rest but it's still bitter sweet. We have grown to love our customers, and are so grateful you have joined this journey with us. We have joined others journeys through this as well. To all of you, we will continue to pray for you. We can never say enough thank yous! Now we take a little time off to just enjoy life! Mom and dad spent a little time going to town shopping and eating. I spent my first day off enjoying the river with some of the people I love the most. Thanks again for supporting us and we will see you in 2026, if not before ♥️.
