UPDATE: look who's all smiles!!! Dad is feeling much better. Still has a cough but much, much better.

He saw the lung doctor yesterday and has another check up in 3 months, but everything went well.

Saw his hematologist today and was approved to get a chemo treatment after that appointment. His numbers are all coming back up. They were concerned with one immune system number and ordered a few extra labs. He might have to do an immunotherapy treatment as well to get his system boosted.

Thank you so much for always praying us through the tough times. We love you all.

RELEASED!!!! We are home sweet home. Dad had to bring some breathing exercise devises home with him and will follow up with the lung doctor next week. It was a scary few days and we want to thank all of you for keeping him in your prayers and adding him to prayer lists. Much love to you all!!!

Bronchoscopy is over. Dr said there wasn't anything blocking airway it was just an extreme amount of mucas. He scooped...

Bronchoscopy is over. Dr said there wasn't anything blocking airway it was just an extreme amount of mucas. He scooped out what they could and then used a lot of saline to flush out the rest. He said it was very red and irritated so there's definitely an infection and this has been brewing for a long time. They will now do cultures and see exactly what he has. Unfortunately that means his vacation is extended and he will be spending a day or two more at this luxurious resort 😜. Please just keep him in your prayers. He is exhausted at this point and this place isn't the best for your spirit. He's a trooper as always though.

Dads bronchoscopy has been postponed. Unfortunately he sucked on a jolly rancher to help with his dry mouth. They have to make sure there's no saliva when they do the procedure. But they did have a small slot at 3 that they will be able to take him in. So we wait...

NEW UPDATE!!
Pulmologist just came in and saw him. After reviewing previous CT scan compared to his new CT scan, There's something blocking part of his breathing tube. He asked if dad had choked on anything in the last few months. He did get choked really bad on nuts a few months ago. He was on his hands and knees gasping for air, mom had her phone out dialing 911 when he got his air back. So he thinks there might be a nut in there. They are keeping him here and doing there best to get him in tomorrow for a scope to see what's hoping on and remove whatever's in there.

Well good news: dads feeling much better, pain is gone but still sore in the side area. Middle lung lobe is re inflated...

Well good news: dads feeling much better, pain is gone but still sore in the side area. Middle lung lobe is re inflated.

Bad news: lower lobe is still deflated so after discussing with a pulmonologist, due to dads medical conditions, the pulmonologist wants to see him before he's released. Dad really wanted to go home and is a little disappointed. I feel it's a blessing. He's had a cough for 19 weeks prior (side effect of treatment), but to have a specialists eyes specifically on his results is what we want.
We feel the scary part is over but don't want to chance this reoccurring!!

Thank you all so much for praying. We say it every time but we know God hears them and dad feels them. We all feel them, and appreciate them more than everyone will ever know. Much love to every one of you.

Dad is resting some now. Oxygen was dropping a little so he's on a little now.... brought oxygen to 97. Still in a good deal of pain except when he gets meds. Still can't lay down, has to stay upright. If he gets to the point he can rest then mom and I will go home and sleep tonight. If not it's another slumber party.

Update: dad was admitted and moved to a room a little after 3AM. Still unable to get any relief. He's been up for over 24 hours at this point. He has picornavirus, pneumonia, and the two lower lobes of his right lung are collapsed. That's what's causing his pain. Pain pill isn't easing his pain at all. We are waiting on a muscle relaxer in hopes that will. He really needs rest. They are taking good care of him so hopefully today he starts to feel a little better. Thank you for all the love and prayers.
