Our very own CNA, Taylor Thompson was awarded the Leading With Heart this past July for "Never Missing a Beat." Because of this, she won the quarterly award of $500!! We are so happy for her. Taylor, thank you for the continued, exceptional performance. You still never miss a beat with providing care for our residents! You definitely deserve this grand award! 🤩💪🏆

We are happy to announce Tammy Hatcher as this week's Leading With Heart award recipient!

Tammy has been with Genesis for many years, and continues to be an asset for Ravenswood Village. She is the epitome of team work, by helping others, and contributing to the success of our building for the sake of our residents! As the Nurse Practice Educator here, she pours from her heart of knowledge to each of her coworkers! We are so thankful for her. ❤️🏆🥰

We are so proud to announce the 2 newest CNA graduates of Ravenswood Village! Collin Griffin and Kamille Carpenter both completed the CNA Course with much hard work and dedication. We had a wonderful member of our community donate TONS of flowers to our residents. They had a ball making floral arrangements, and the building smelled lovelier than ever! Thank you so much to our kind, and giving community for making these residents' day! 💐 🫶

Last month, we celebrated Global Handwashing Day at the Village with a fun scavenger hunt! Staff and residents both thoroughly enjoyed the activities, while understanding how important hand hygiene is. It saves lives! Please enjoy the smiles. 🤩🧼👏🫧

To wrap up Spirit Week/Halloween last week, Ravenswood Village had a TON of activities.

Day 3 was "Wear Pink" to honor those affected by breast cancer, along with bringing a decorated pumpkin for residents to judge! Clara Brown was voted 1st place for her pumpkin!

Day 4 consisted of "Decade Day" where staff and residents dressed according to their favorite era. We also had a Halloween Ball, where residents, undoubtedly, had a ball. 😉 This was followed up with Ravenswood Trick or Treat, where residents handed out candy (thank you to everyone who added us to their route)!

Day 5 was dress up day; staff and residents both took this very seriously. All of the costumes were incredible! We had a great time at our annual Halloween party with lots of delicious treats. Uncle Fester (CNA Barbara Shamblen-Fields) took home 1st place for staff costume judging, and The 3 Eyed Monster (Resident Harold) won 1st place for resident costume judging.

Fun was had by all last week. We want to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who helped make these activities possible. We can feel the love!🧡 🎃🍭🥰🏆💀👻🍫💚

Jesica is our Director of Social Services at Ravenswood Village. If you have ever had the pleasure of speaking with her, you know she gets the job done, and the problem solved. With her heart of gold, her compassion is unmatched for every resident, and their families. She is a guiding light here for those experiencing the SNF setting for the first time, and intends to set everyone up for success whether they are here long term, or for a short stay. Jesica is an asset to Ravenswood Village, and because of that, we are happy to announce her as this week's Leading With Heart Recipient! Please join us in congratulating and thanking her!

Our residents were able to enjoy the yearly Ravenswood Homecoming Parade. This is always such an anticipated event for residents. As always, they put on a fabulous and entertaining parade. Thank you Ravenswood Schools and community! We can't wait until next year. 🤩
