When many patients start Vision Therapy they often cannot bounce and catch a ball. This is because they have poor binocular skills and poor depth perception. This means they have no reference point to know where the ball is. We spend a lot of time in VT working to improve binocularity and depth perception by bouncing and catching a ball.
By the end of VT most patients can even catch 2 balls at the same time! Check out this kiddos progress, VT does amazing things!

Solving puzzles is a powerful brain and visual skill building exercise for all kids - and one that we work pretty extensively with in our Vision Therapy program. A lot of parents don't realize how incredibly beneficial puzzle work can be for academic and athletic success! Sawyer's visual system and brain are getting a powerful workout in visual discrimination, figure ground, and planning; visual closure, eye-hand coordination, problem-solving, visual memory, and visual spatial relationships.
