🥞 Day 3 of Lumberjack Week at Sunrise! 🌲

What a fantastic day we had! This morning, our HR Director Tanya and Activities Director Shawn whipped up delicious blueberry pancakes to celebrate National Blueberry Pancake Day, perfectly matching our Lumberjack theme! The residents and staff absolutely loved them!

We also had an exciting axe-throwing activity that got everyone buzzing! Residents who usually prefer to stay in joined in the fun, and the staff couldn’t resist trying it out too! The excitement lasted for over an hour, and the laughter was contagious!

A special thanks to our favorite lumberjack, Christian from Brighton Hospice, for bringing us snacks to celebrate this thrilling event!

What a day full of fun and camaraderie! ❤️

🌲 Day 2 of Lumberjack Week at Sunrise!🐻

Today, we had a fantastic time playing a game called "Feed the Bears"! They always say not to feed the bears, but how could we resist those cute faces? 😂 Our memory care residents had a blast cheering each other on!

A special shoutout to my talented activities assistant, who drew the adorable bears on a foam tri-fold board! Her creativity truly added to the fun.

First day of Lumberjack Week here at Sunrise! With the winter storm outside we stayed warm by our campfire (tissue paper and red xmas lights) and told campfire stories while sipping our warm morning coffee! Stay warm everyone!

☕️🎉 Tea Party at Sunrise! 🎉☕️

What a delightful afternoon at Sunrise as we celebrated National Hot Tea Month! We couldn’t resist showcasing our new super cute tea cups, and they were the perfect addition to our tea party.

Our residents enjoyed a variety of teas, delicious treats, and wonderful conversations. It was a lovely way to warm up and connect with one another!

🌍 Exciting News at Sunrise: "Stamp Your Passport"! ✈️

This month, we’re taking a virtual trip to Japan every Friday! This past Friday, we enjoyed a delightful "Taste of Japan," featuring sushi and fortune cookies. 🍣✨

Everyone loved the experience and even asked for seconds! It was such a fun way to explore a new culture together.

Stay tuned for more adventures as we stamp our passports and discover new flavors! 🇯🇵❤️

🎶 A Special Visit at Sunrise! 🎶

Our women’s memory care unit had a lovely visitor this morning who brought joy and music to our residents! 🎸✨

Everyone loved hearing him sing and play the guitar. The smiles and laughter were contagious as our residents joined in, reminiscing and enjoying the melodies.

What a fantastic day we had celebrating Rubber Ducky Day at Sunrise! 🦆✨ Our memory care unit truly enjoyed getting creative with some fun ducky crafts. The highlight, however, was our exciting Duck Hunt! Residents had a blast shooting rubber ducks through bubbles, bringing so much joy and laughter to the day. It was heartwarming to see everyone engage and share such wonderful moments together. Here’s to more memorable days like this! 🛁💖
