Snacking in moderation on the right things can help manage hunger and prevent overeating at meals. It's also a good way to increase your intake of fruits and veggies! Snacks with protein, fiber and healthy fats help keep you full longer.

In honor of National Snack Day, here are some healthy snack ideas:

☑1 small apple + 1 tbsp of peanut butter (natural)
☑5 small whole wheat crackers or cucumber slices with 2 tbsp of hummus
☑3/4 cup of blueberries with 6 oz of low-fat or fat-free Greek yogurt
☑1/4 avocado on a slice of bread with more than 3g fiber sprinkled with red pepper flakes
☑1-2 ounces of turkey with a slice of cheese
☑ Cherry tomatoes with mozzarella
☑ 1 cup of edamame
☑ Red bell pepper with 1/4 cup guacamole
☑ 1 ounce to 1/4 cup mixed nuts
☑ 4 ounces of cottage cheese with a small pear
☑ Hard-boiled eggs (limit eggs to 3-4 per week)
