Landmark of Rayne

Landmark of Rayne Providing rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and other specialty services in Rayne, LA. We believe in attentive service.

Our Story
Landmark of Rayne takes pride in working with a resident and his or her family with the goal of the best possible outcome, whether that means long-term care or specialized rehabilitation so that the person can return home. Philosophy of Service:
We believe that the focus of nursing services is the patient and in supporting each patient’s need for privacy, dignity and equality. We believe that nursing care is directed toward preventing illness and promoting recovery, rehabilitation, good health, and the well-being of the patient. Our Commitment:
Our facility is managed to offer nursing and convalescent care. Our dedicated staff strives to respond to problems or sudden emergencies with sensitivity and skill. Our nurses are trained to monitor each resident’s physical condition and personal comfort. Our dietary department provides nutritious, appetizing meals carefully prepared, then served in a clean and comfortable dining room. The quality of life of our residents is as important to us as the quality of their care. We have carefully selected a staff that we feel will be caring, honest in their judgments, and eager to make the residents’ stay pleasurable. Our employees understand the importance of a kind word, a gentle touch, and the healing power of a smile. They must not only be competent, but compassionate. We are committed to the comfort and well-being of all our residents. We are a member of the Louisiana Nursing Home Association and licensed by the Department of Health and Hospitals.

Vaccines aren’t just for kids—staying up to date on immunizations is an important part of protecting older adults, especially those living in skilled nursing settings. 💉 From flu and pneumonia to COVID-19 and shingles, these vaccines help reduce the risk of serious illness and complications. If your loved one is in our care, now is a great time to review their immunization record and talk with their care team. Even if you’re not out in the sun much, UV rays can still reach you through windows. ☀️ July is UV Awareness Month—a reminder that sun safety matters at every age and ability. Simple steps like sitting away from direct sunlight or using window shades can help protect delicate skin.

🪟 Sit away from direct sunlight through windows.
🕶️ Use UV-blocking window shades or curtains.
🧴 Apply moisturizer with SPF if near sunny windows.
🛏️ Ask caregivers to help reposition beds/chairs away from sun glare.
🧣 Protect skin with light blankets or wraps if seated near windows.
🧺 Wear soft, long-sleeved clothing to reduce UV exposure.
🧴 Use skin-soothing lotion to protect delicate or dry skin.
🗣️ Talk to staff if your room gets too hot or bright from the sun.
🕵️ Caregivers: Monitor skin for signs of sunburn or sensitivity.
🧠 Learn: Even indirect UV rays can affect aging skin!

🍦 With all this summer heat, we celebrated the 4th of July in the coolest way—an ice cream bar loaded with all the fixings: chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, caramel, Reddi-wip, sprinkles, and of course, a cherry on top! 🍒✨

We wrapped up the day with juicy slices of sweet watermelon, perfect for a patriotic summer treat. 🍉

Most importantly, we pause to thank all our past and present military men and women for the gift of our independence.

Happy 4th of July from all of us here! 🎆❤️💙
