Be BREAST aware! All women can get breast cancer.
All women need to be breast aware and know the look and feel of their breasts, so any new or unusual changes that may indicate breast cancer can be detected. This is vital for women under 40, especially as they are not eligible for routine mammograms. Age 40 & older routine mammograms are recommended.
Some common changes that could indicate further evaluation or testing may include:
🩷 a lump or thickening in the breast
🩷 changes to the shape or size of the breast or ni**le
🩷 dimpling of the skin or the ni**le
🩷 discharge or blood from the ni**le
🩷 a rash or changes to the skin around the breast
🩷 persistent pain in the breast or armpit
🩷 swelling or a lump in the armpit
