This past month we celebrated Dorothy Richard as our Employee of the Month!

Dorothy has dedicated 9 years to our housekeeping and laundry department!

Her favorite part of working at The Ellington is spending time with the residents! When she is not working she enjoys gardening with her granddaughter.

The Ellington of Rayne would like to send well wishes to our resident, Ms. Velma, on her completion of skilled nursing and therapy rehabilitation! This is the second time Ms. Velma has transitioned from rehab back to home!

When asked about her stay at The Ellington of Rayne she said, “it’s been good, my experience here. Going to therapy, I look forward to that everyday. I asked to come here because of the experience I had here last year.”

You’re never too old to learn something new! 👩‍🎓

Ms. Lorena Trosclair recently graduated from our rehab department and was thrilled to put on a cap and gown for the first time ever in her life!

Ms. Lorena can always be found with a smile on her face and with wisdom to share. Next month she celebrates her 105th birthday!

In the month of July we celebrated Shaniqua Wheeler as our employee of the month!

Shaniqua has been with us for the last 7 months as a CNA. You can always find her working hard with a smile on her face! Her favorite thing about working at The Ellington is getting to know the residents that she works with. When she’s not here working she stays busy taking care of her 5 children.

Thank you Shaniqua for the love and care you give to all of our residents! ♥️

Mr. Horace Thibodeaux recently completed his skilled stay at The Ellington of Rayne. Mr. Horace put in the work each and every day, all while keeping a smile on his face. When asked about his experience at The Ellington of Rayne, he said, “I would very much recommend this place. Everyone has been so nice and helpful, never cranky. I can stand and walk with a walker now and couldn’t when I got here.”
