Did you know that about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with Parkinson's disease (PD)? 🌷

🧠 This progressive brain disorder is perhaps most well known for causing tremors, but other symptoms include loss of vocal volume, sleep disruptions, stiffness, and balance issues, among others.

Thankfully, there are ways to improve Parkinson's symptoms! 😀 Our therapy team offers rehabilitation services to help improve mobility, range of motion, function, and speech for those living with PD. Call us to see how we can support you or your loved one.

It looks like someone practicing how to button a shirt again. 👔 Rebuilding the strength and dexterity to hold a coffee cup. ☕ Rehearsing the motions to prepare a simple meal and learning to use a reacher to safely pick things up without bending 🫳.

April is Volunteer Month, and we are celebrating the amazing people of all ages who share their time with our residents. From calling bingo to painting nails 💅, performing music 🎵 to simply sitting and chatting, our volunteers bring an essential joy and connection to our community.

🎉 We are so excited to announce that we recently earned a deficiency-free annual health survey!

✨ Each year, surveyors from the health department spend time interviewing residents, family members, and associates. They evaluate resident care, recordkeeping, staffing levels, food safety, fire safety, infection control practices and more. This year, our survey took place the day after a record-breaking blizzard. ❄️ No snow can keep us from doing our best to care for our residents!

“We’re all thrilled to have earned a deficiency-free annual survey,” said Samantha Pereira, our Executive Director. “This is a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of our department heads and all of our associates at Life Care Center of Raynham. Today, National Caregivers Day, we recognize all types of caregivers 🫶: our associates who bring compassion and professionalism to their interactions with our residents; family members who lovingly care for their loved ones; and other professionals in the healthcare industry who take care of those who cannot take care of themselves.
