unctional Neurology and Rehabilitation • Student of the Kharrazian Institute, Advanced Functional Medicine Practitioner I suffered significant low back injury after a track and field event in high school which was complicated by several years of working on a farm and four years in the United States Marine Corps. I spent hundreds of dollars on various types of back pain remedies and medical treatments, however only obtained benefit from chiropractic care. Because of my fascination with the science and function of the human body and a desire to help other people suffering from similar problems, propelled me to pursue a career in chiropractic medicine. After several years of being in the practice of chiropractic, I experienced a herniated lower back disc after repeated snowboarding injuries. I ended up with severe lower back pain, compressed nerves, and paralysis in my left leg. It was very difficult and challenging trying to help other people with similar back pain while I suffered myself. Since my injury was much more severe than the back strain I had back in high school and the standards of conservative chiropractic treatments were not enough to deal with my debilitating pain, I was determined to find additional treatment approaches and therapies to strengthen, protect and heal my back. Going deeper into post graduate study of spinal and joint biomechanics helped me identify and eliminate aggravating triggers such as the wrong type of exercises, inappropriate movements patterns and how to incorporate the right rehab activities which eventually allowed my back to recover. To this day, I have been able to avoid the dreadful thought of back surgery I once thought I was destined for. I rarely experience back pain and I'm able to perform some physical activities as well as I had when I was in the Marine Corps. All of the educational knowledge and experience I have gained from my personal drive and passion to heal myself and be the right kind of role model for my patients has enabled me to apply this knowledge to help people in similar situation. My continued desire to find additional alternatives that were on the horizon and gaining traction was in the hat were showing great promise for using passion in finding additional options. In May of 2019, I opened Regenerative Medicine of Raynham LLC because of a personal desire to find and use additional options for myself and patients that maybe experiencing pain and impairment resulting from joint wear and tear that had progressed beyond the point of what conservative procedures could offer. With the help of a medical team, I was able to begin offering joint regenerative procedures designed to restore structural integrity, repair and rejuvenation to joints, muscles, tendon and ligaments that have been ravaged by years of wear and tear and degeneration. The procedures we incorporated have been massively successful with our patient base. Many have expressed elation because of their pain reduction, improved quality of life and the avoidance of dangerous use of medications, complications of surgery and no longer feeling destined to a walker or wheelchair for the rest of their life. By combining a functional medicine approach in our office that address the underlying metabolic dysfunctions, chiropractic procedures to address spinal and joint biomechanical faults and the incorporation of a medical team for regenerative/joint restorative procedures, we have been able to provide a comprehensive mainstream approach to optimize your health and function and allowing you to live the life you deserve.
