𝗖𝗲𝘀𝗮́𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝘆 𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗴𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹
El porcentaje de nacimientos por cesárea continúa aumentando en todo el mundo. En Europa, se estima que la media de partos por cesárea alcanza el 𝟮𝟱%.

En 𝗠𝗲́𝘅𝗶𝗰𝗼, la situación es aún más preocupante. Datos oficiales señalan que entre 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟴 𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟳, aproximadamente el 𝟰𝟱.𝟯% de los partos se realizaron por cesárea, y para 𝟮𝟬𝟭9 esta cifra alcanzó el 𝟰𝟲% (Reproductive Health Journal, 2022). Este porcentaje casi triplica la recomendación de la OMS, que sugiere no superar el 𝟭𝟬-𝟭𝟱% para mejorar los resultados maternos y neonatales.

Las cesáreas 𝘀𝗮𝗹𝘃𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮́𝗻 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗮𝘀, pero superar ese límite no trae beneficios adicionales y supone riesgos innecesarios para madres y bebés.

Está ampliamente documentado que el nacimiento por cesárea 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗹𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗮 del recién nacido, lo que aumenta su riesgo de desarrollar 𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮𝘀, 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗱, 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘆 𝗲𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘀.

Ahora, una nueva investigación publicada, que analizó una muestra de 𝟮,𝟰𝟰𝟮,𝟯𝟯𝟬 𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝘀 𝗲𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮, encontró una relación entre la 𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮́𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝘆 𝗲𝗹 𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗴𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘂𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗳𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗮́𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹, especialmente en niños.

Se cree que esta asociación podría estar relacionada con la 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗺𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗮 𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿 y la falta de exposición a las 𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲́𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗼. Curiosamente, 𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼́ 𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀𝗴𝗼 𝗲𝗻 𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮́𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮, lo cual no sorprende, ya que el trabajo de parto es un factor protector tanto para madres como para sus bebés.

Esta investigación 𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮 𝗺𝗮́𝘀 𝗹𝘂𝘇 𝘀𝗼𝗯𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗮 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 y su impacto en la salud a lo largo de la vida. Abre un debate necesario con preguntas incómodas pero urgentes, como:
¿𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮́ 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗼 𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗯𝗲́𝘀 𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗴𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘇𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗲𝘀𝗮́𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗽𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼́𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹?

Quienes acompañan los nacimientos deberían proteger nuestra salud.
𝗘𝗹 𝗮𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝘂𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘂𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗼.
Cuidar de las mujeres y sus bebés es una responsabilidad urgente.

Comparte esta información con las familias embarazadas para que exijan mejores atenciones de salud basadas en evidencia, y no en la agenda del ginecólogo y su equipo.

Dejemos a las cesáreas como una cirugía de emergencia y no de rutina, por la salud de nuestros bebés y mamás.

Just continually grateful for the clients I've been able to serve that find me and allow me to be in their space during this time. Giving me the opportunity to help them, teach them new things, learn each other, through pregnancy labor and birth together.

This birth was a memorable one. (They all are truly) 💖 I had the privilege of being at this mama's side throughout pregnancy labor and birth. She stood her ground with her birth desires, did her very best to educate herself, prepared all the details, and she did indeed recieve the closest to a home birth I've experienced in hospital. She had an amazing health care provider that listened to her goals and answered her questions. This is why choosing the right Healthcare provider for *you* is such an important part to the whole process of bringing a baby into the world.

When labor is long..there is nothing more vital and comforting than a person who is supportive, constant, and patient.
I got to experience labor, anniversary celebration, and birth with this beautiful family.
What a gift they are to each other and to me to experience it with them.

Loved being able to enjoy our time together in appointments and during birth.
Sometimes in order to get your body to go into full labor you need that extra time to loosen up so we got to spend some extra time doing the miles circut. We had a prep-labor for 2 days in a row before baby's birth day came.
