🌺🌴 Aloha from Colonial Manor! 🌴🌺

Today we brought the island vibes right here to the nursing home with our very own Luau Celebration! Residents swayed to the music with hula dancing, showed off their moves in hula hoop contests, and cooled off with refreshing snow cones & fruity punch. 🏝🍧🥤

Laughter, music, and the smell of tropical snacks filled the air—proving you don’t need a plane ticket to feel like you’re in paradise. 🌞🌺

Today our residents made a splash in our very own Swimsuit Contest! 🏖👙 Each contestant wowed the crowd with swimwear they designed themselves — from bold colors to creative accessories — and then strutted their stuff on the runway with plenty of style and smiles. 💃✨ It was a day full of laughter, cheers, and unforgettable summer fun!

🏖️ The kids may be back at school, but at Colonial Manor, we’re soaking up the fun with our own Family Staycation! 🌊 Residents enjoyed beach-themed snackle boxes filled with beach balls, whales, and Swedish fish 🐳🍬. We even got crafty, making colorful jellyfish to decorate the nurses’ station. 🪼💙 Cheers to bringing the beach to us—no sunscreen required! ☀️

🍴 Help Us Create Our “Heirloom Recipe Book”! 📖

We’re cooking up something special at Colonial Manor! Our residents are gathering their favorite recipes—those passed down through generations, filled with love, laughter, and tradition.

As part of this project, they’ll be editing, typing, and publishing their very own recipe book for everyone to enjoy! 👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳

We would love for families to get involved by sharing treasured family recipes, stories behind them, or even photos to include in the book.

📬 Please send your contributions to becky@colonialmanorguesthome.com or drop them off with the ward clerk!
🗓 We will begin our creative, culinary work this Friday- and will continue working on it in the coming weeks.

🎆🇺🇸 Fourth of July Fun at Colonial Manor! 🇺🇸🎆

Today, our residents celebrated Independence Day in true patriotic style! We kicked things off with a festive game of The Price is Right – Fourth of July Edition, followed by delicious red, white, and blue snacks and punch. Despite the rain, the skies cleared just in time for us to wrap up the evening with a bang—enjoying fireworks outside with friends and laughter all around. Huge thanks to ’s Fireworks for making this celebration sparkle ✨!

We are so thankful for a day full of joy, memories, and celebration with our Colonial Manor family! ❤️💙🤍
