WORLD CANCER DAY 02.04.26
💗 A Story of Strength, Love, and Survival 💗
Diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in 2013, Libby faced a journey no one should have to endure, but she didn't endure it alone. She had her family by her side.
She traveled to Johnston, PA, where she received her initial diagnosis, as well as her treatments. She lost her breasts and lymph nodes, and she stated that it was only the beginning of the physical toll of surviving.
When asked if she had advice for someone else sitting in a chair in an office, receiving that news, she related that it’s surreal. Her message to others: pray, and lean on close friends and family. Talk—even when the words are hard to hear or say out loud.
Her husband was by her side at every treatment, and her son was also present when she received her diagnosis and remained a supportive group.
Sadly, in 2019, she suffered another heartbreaking loss when her husband passed from pancreatic cancer, yet her strength never wavered.
Libby is a survivor and a fighter. She’s endured cancer herself and has also felt the loss of its most cruel intention. And yet, she wants to remind others that love, faith, and connection carry us through the hardest chapters. 💕
