Roots of Solidarity is a moving pilot documentary that explores the history of Latinos in Reading, Pennsylvania—uplifting legacy, cultural memory, and collective resilience. At a time when history is often challenged or erased, this film stands as an act of preservation, truth-telling, and pride.
This special evening will include:
A Three Kings Celebration, honoring cultural tradition, storytelling, and community connection
The pilot documentary screening
Behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the film
A live Q&A with the cast and crew

You may notice out front tonight an abundance of Live Christmas trees. Those trees are meant to bring happiness to anyone who may need one. We have about 50 real Christmas trees pre-drilled ready for a good home. We don’t need you to stop and ask. We don’t need you to tell us your story. We just want you to take one if you need one. We hope it spreads a little Christmas joy to home who may need it!

As 2025 winds down, so does the restoration project at the Pagoda.

Dolan Construction Inc., the Warko Group, and Hirneisen Electric have worked diligently since April to ensure the project remains on schedule to be completed by the new year.

You may have noticed the brilliant red lights are once again lit. This means on Christmas Eve we can continue the tradition — led by Mayor Eddie Moran and in partnership with the Reading Pagoda Foundation — of blinking the Pagoda to signal to the children of Reading and greater Berks that Santa has been spotted nearby.

The wait is over! Don’t forget to look up at the Pagoda at 9:00 pm this Christmas Eve!
