This tiny fuzzy baby was found struggling outside in Womelsdorf and brought to safety. Meet Honey!

Next week, Honey will be seeing our veterinary team for a full evaluation. At this point, we still don’t know if what we’re seeing is the result of a birth deformity or a traumatic injury. What we do know is that she deserves every chance possible.

Despite everything, Honey is purring, snuggling, and soaking up love like she’s always known kindness. These are the cases that remind us why rescue matters so much.

Her care will include exams, diagnostics, possible imaging, medications, and ongoing support and we cannot do it alone. Donations of any size help us to provide care to kittens like Honey when they need us most.

Please consider donating to support Honey’s medical care and recovery journey. Donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607. Your support truly changes lives.

Thank you for loving the broken, the forgotten, and the ones who need a little extra help. Honey has a whole community behind her now. More updates soon as we learn more about this precious girl.

It was late when a family was driving home along Route 422 near the Berkshire Mall when they noticed something in the middle lane of the highway.

They didn’t keep going. They pulled over, carefully reversed, and blocked traffic to protect a small, cat who couldn’t move. They gently picked him up and rushed him to Blue Pearl emergency care.

At the hospital, he was found to be in respiratory distress with a broken jaw. He spent the night on oxygen, trying to stabilize. When we were contacted in the morning about helping cover the cost of surgery to repair his jaw, there was no question we said yes.

The staff named him Lamborghini, and he quickly stole everyone’s hearts with his incredibly sweet and loving personality. ❤️

We’re happy to share that Lamborghini made it through surgery and is now safely in foster care, receiving lots of TLC while he heals. His jaw is wired and will need 6–8 weeks before removal, along with follow-up care and X-rays.

We have one more incredible update…
The very family who stopped to save him couldn’t stop thinking about him—and they want to adopt him once he’s fully healed. Our hearts couldn’t be happier for this little survivor.

💛 Donations are greatly appreciated to help cover Lamborghini’s surgery, ongoing care, and upcoming procedures. Donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis.
💛 Every share helps us reach more people and gives cats like Lamborghini a second chance.

Thank you for being part of his journey. ❤️

Big Ed showed up at a city feeding station dragging himself and collapsed in a corner, clearly hurt and exhausted. He was rushed to emergency care, where it was discovered he had likely been hit by a car. X-rays revealed a broken pelvis, and he now has a few quiet weeks of cage rest ahead, along with follow-up care to help him heal properly.

What’s remarkable is that through it all, Big Ed is incredibly sweet. He leans in for affection, purrs softly, and trusts the people helping him without hesitation. It’s hard not to fall for him. 🐾

Once he’s healed, this friendly boy will be ready to leave this chapter behind and find a home where he can finally feel safe and loved.

If you’d like to be part of Big Ed’s journey, we’re grateful for any support—whether that’s a small donation or simply sharing his story. It truly makes a difference for animals like him.

Donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis.

Thank you for keeping Big Ed in your thoughts as he recovers. 🧡

On her way to work, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan spotted something in the road. As she got closer, a little head lifted and looked back at her. She hit the brakes without hesitation, scooped the injured kitty up, and rushed her straight to emergency care.

We were contacted at BCIC to help, and it was clear right away that this sweet girl had been through a lot. Presumed to have been hit by a car, she needed a full examination. She had multiple scrapes and wounds, along with an eye injury that required attention.

They named her River and despite everything, she has been nothing but loving. Purring, seeking attention, and showing her gentle spirit every step of the way.

We’re so happy to share that River is now on the road to recovery. She was able to be spayed and receive her vaccinations this week, and she’s doing well. Even better, the kind finder has friends who are interested in giving River the loving home she deserves.

If you would like to help with River’s medical expenses, donations to our program are always appreciated. Donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis . Your support allows us to continue helping cats like her get the care they need.

Thank you for being part of what makes stories like River’s possible. 💛

We received a message from our friends at Berks Community Cats about a stray kitty in urgent need and while the photos were hard to look at, we knew we had to help. This poor boy, now named Screech, had severe damage to his eye.

Thanks to our partners at Bernville Veterinary Clinic, we were able to get him in for surgery the very next day. He came through the procedure well, but due to the extent of his injuries, he developed complications at the incision site just a few days later. He was hospitalized all week, receiving additional care and treatments — including blue light therapy to help speed up healing.

Throughout it all, Screech not only received excellent medical care but also plenty of snuggles and love from the incredible staff caring for him. ❤️

We’re happy to share that today, Screech was well enough to be discharged! He is now resting comfortably in foster care with Berks Community Cats.

As you can imagine, the cost of his surgery and extended hospitalization has added up. If you’re able to help support Screech’s recovery, donations to our program would mean so much. Donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis .

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a part in helping this sweet boy. The staff couldn’t stop talking about how incredibly loving and gentle he is and we couldn’t agree more.

Thank you all for your continued support. 🐾

After being TNR’d, Millie experienced post-op complications and had to be rushed to an emergency vet for evaluation. With it being a holiday weekend, the facility that performed her surgery was closed and unable to assist with her care.

The emergency vet contacted us to assist with funding and we stepped up so Millie could receive the care she urgently needed.

The emergency vet was able to stabilize her by carefully packing and wrapping her incision, and providing antibiotics and pain medication to keep her comfortable until surgery could be performed. Today, Millie had that surgery and we’re so relieved to share that she is now on the path to healing.

If you would like to help with Millie’s ongoing care, donations can be made to Berks Cats in Crisis, PO Box 723, Reading PA 19607 or paypal.me/berkscatsincrisis. Every contribution makes a difference and allows us to continue helping animals like Millie when they need us most.

Thank you for your support 🐾
