Dear egg and avocado toast,

I’m sorry for cheating on you with oatmeal for breakfast the past few months. It’s nothing personal, I just needed something new for a little bit. It’s not you, it’s me. I’m glad we were able to reconnect.

Xo,
Kylie
Bringing back my OG fav: , avocado, miso scrambled eggs (1 egg + 2 egg whites), truffle hot sauce, vegan feta salad
Salad deets: kale, roasted onions and peppers, homemade vegan feta (recipe coming soon), hummus dressing (a few tablespoons of hummus mixed with enough water (~1 T) to thin to a salad dressing consistency)

How to survive dry January🍷🙅🏼‍♀️
1. There are some really great non alcoholic products out there! My favorites include and (These are also great low sugar options) It’s so nice to be able to partake in “having a drink” without the actual alcohol.
2. Make sure you eat enough. I cannot stress this enough for weight loss too. Include protein, carbs, fat, and fiber at all meals to prolong satiety. This will help improve energy levels and it’s a lot easier to not give into temptation to just have a cocktail, an extra cookie, etc. with a pleasantly full belly.
3. When I’m at a restaurant I love to order seltzer in a wine glass with a lemon and lime wedge. It looks prettier than half the cocktails and you’ll feel like you’re having something fun along with the rest of your dinner party!
4. Go into nights with alcohol involved with the right mindset. When possible, suggest activities/events that don’t necessarily revolve around alcohol.
5. A+ to the restaurants out there offering great mocktail options👏🏼As a dietitian, I recommend looking for options lower in added sugar and juices when possible, especially if weight loss is you goal in the new year. You can always ask for products without simple syrup.
I’m personally loving dry Jan so far (ngl though, an espresso martini is always tempting🙊). Hope everyone’s new year of off to a safe and healthy start as well!

Nantucket in the fall>>
Highly recommend:
• Caffeine fix from ☕️ I knew nothing about this place prior to going and was so impressed by them! Their matcha latte was wonderful.
• Lunch from . I was very happy with my sushi!
• Day drinking at 🍻
• Pop into all the shops & boutiques in town. Resist the urge to buy everything.
• Pre or post-dinner drinks at (amazing espresso martini) and (the interior is stunning)
• Dinner at is a must. It’s probably my favorite restaurant on the island. Get a bunch of small plates to split, everything is amazing.
• Healthy brunch and cool lattes at 🍋

I ate ice cream every day last week for dessert😌
It was a strong craving I was having. I was thinking about it a lot and nothing else would have really satisfied the craving.
I COULD have resisted that urge so I could “be healthy” and stick with my “clean eating” regimen. But I know how that story ends (& it’s with me eating 1/2-1 pint, then feeling super guilty the next day)
So instead, I allowed myself to have some ice cream every night that I wanted it. That way, I was able to just have a small amount and put it away without the insane desire to keep eating. You’d be amazed with what food choices you’ll decide to make when you allow yourself unconditional permission to eat everything you’re craving.
Cheers to summer🍦

Hi all 👋🏼 I’ve taken about a month hiatus from IG🥲which has been very refreshing and honestly a big time saver. I’ve started a lot of new jobs and projects lately, so it’s been nice to give 100% to those aspects of my life (more info on what I’ve been up to to come)
I wanted to pop on here though and share my version of a salmon Niçoise salad I made a few weeks ago.. because it would be a disservice to you all not to share it😘
The goods: roasted salmon (seasoned with salt and pepper, 425 degrees for ~15 minutes), roasted red bliss potatoes, blanched asparagus, kalamata olives, roasted radishes, cucumber, arugula and spinach all tossed in a homemade olive oil & Dijon vinaigrette

EVERYTHING BAGEL PASTA
I was looking through my old pictures and stumbled across this recipe. Definitely think I need to make this one again asap😛
The goods: Banza] cavatappi pasta with homemade everything bagel cream cheese sauce, topped with everything but the bagel seasoning
Start by cooking the Banza] pasta according to the box’s directions.
While the pasta cooks, add ~2 T cream cheese and 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice) to a small sauce pan. Heat over medium/high and whisk until smooth. Bring to a boil, then simmer until thickened to your liking (my sauce took ~5 minutes)
Add a serving of the cooked pasta directly to the sauce. Stir till the pasta is coated. Top with TJ’s everything but the bagel seasoning and either nutritional yeast or shredded cheese if desired.
(Sauce recipe makes 1 serving)
