I get asked a lot about where to paddle, what the tides are, what the conditions are like and I love when people view me as a resource. However, I so much more prefer when they invite me along. If you ever need a guide, which I’ve been getting asked about more and more recently, feel free to hit me up. Rarely will I turn down an offer to paddle.

One of my recent paddlers invited me over to her farm to meet Hubert the cow and her insanely friendly goats. So lucky to make such wonderful connections with people by doing the things I love.

Got to try out my new Oru Kayak inlet kayak yesterday. I got it as a convenient, more recreational alternative to my Wilderness Systems Tsunami120. Setup and breakdown was quick and easy. It’s really light so moving around was a breeze. It handled the boat wake better than I expected it to (it is listed as a flat water kayak). Took a little getting used to as is the case with most new things. Great option for anyone that doesn’t have a lot of storage space or physically can’t lug around and load up a 50lb kayak. Now we’ll have to see how much Sprout likes it next.

Completely forgot that I snapped a shot of this egret the other day while paddling. I feel like I spent years not really paying attention to the nature around me and now I only want to be out in it.
