graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Zoology in 1968 and he received his M.D. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC. Dr. Frieman has been in practice in Red Bank for over 30 years. Dr. Frieman is a comprehensive, Board-Certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, retinal disease, corneal disease, uveitis, and glaucoma. He also performs annual eye exams and contact lens fittings. Dr.Frieman is an attending physician on the staff of Riverview Medical Center, Bayshore Hospital, and Monmouth Medical Center, and he is a Clinical Associate Professor at the New Jersey Medical School. He is a Past President of The New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology, and a Past President of The Monmouth County Medical Society. Currently, he serves on the Executive Committee of The NJ Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Frieman has been married to his wife, Gail, for over 40 years and is the father of Dayna, a teacher, and Brett, his medical partner. His outside interests include spending time with his grandchildren, road rallying, skiing, and travel. graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Biology in 1996 and he received his D.O. degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2000. Dr. Frieman completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the UMDNJ/New Jersey Medical School and has been in practice in Red Bank for over 7 years. Dr. Frieman is a comprehensive, Board-Certified ophthalmologist who specializes in refractive surgery (LASIK), cataract surgery, retinal disease, corneal disease, uveitis, and glaucoma. Dr.Frieman is the Chief of the Ophthalmology Department at Riverview Medical Center where he is also an attending physician on staff. Additionally, he serves as an attending physician at Bayshore Hospital and Jersey City Medical Center. Also, he teaches UMDNJ Ophthalmology residents at Jersey City Medical Center the art and science of eye surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology (FAAO) and a member of the NJ Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Frieman has been married to his wife, Amy, for over ten years. She is the Director of Palliative Care at Meridian Hospital System, Neptune. His outside interests include hanging out with his two children, boating, and cheering for the NY Jets.
