To continue with Street Car Days Festivities we had the Honor of taking a couple residents to the fly in breakfast at the airport. While we were waiting for the famous pancakes and sausage, a special guest appeared from the sky. Upon landing they were overjoyed to see their granddaughter exit the helicopter! She is a nurse that flys for Good Samaritan AirCare! This was really a once in a life time deal for them to see her fly in and land.

Well Street Car Days has come and gone already. We had our annual float in the parade. This year’s theme for Street Car Days was (Progress Through the Decades) We chose to decorate our float with a 60’s theme, since Heritage Formerly Known as Sprague Nursing Home (1966 -1985)was built in 1966. 59 years later we are still Groovin’ and Movin’ with the Oldies! A few of our residents enjoyed helping make Street Car Days a success whether it was coloring flowers and Peace signs for the float, riding with us through the parade, or cheering loudly from in front of the home when it was Heritage turn! We would like to thank the staff and volunteers that took the time to help us create the float that we did! We truly have some of the Best! We had so much fun and are super proud of what we created.

Cinco de Mayo We consumed a Taco Buffet for lunch and Chelsey made Dessert Nachos for the Activity snack! Residents made homemade tortillas in the morning and tested them during the afternoon activity of Mexican chair line dancing!
