Did you know these are Calendula seeds?? I harvested these from my garden this year after growing Calendula for the first time. The first time I saw Calendula seeds, I was surprised to see they looked like this! My Calendula is slowing down in production but between what we grew and what grew for us, we have plenty for medicine making 🌼 love love love Calendula!

Hope you've had a wonderful week and are spending some time to find, see, & appreciate the beauty around you 🫶🏽

Farmers market through the flowers 💐

Thank you to for selling such beautiful flowers that add a pop of color to my table! Picking out flowers for my display has become a simple yet meaningful ritual for me. I love flowers 🥰 they bring such joy!

Recently I read some musings from .and.style.co about how flowers remind us to be in the moment, to feel, to be. I love that! Isn't it ironic how things like the death of flowers, them having an expiration date, help us appreciate moments in time and (hopefully) accept with a grateful heart?

Happy rest of your weekend & remember to support local and spread lots of love with every interaction you have!

Love you.

✨St. John's Wort infused oil✨

The color of this oil awakens something inside of me. I become so giddy, excited, full of joy when I lay my eyes up on it. Color is such a powerful communication tool! They can affect our mood and impact our behaviors. Isn't that incredible?? The connectedness of our bodies, our universe, the things around us, and our existence never cease to amaze me. I am grateful! ❤️

What is captivating you lately? Any colors that invoke meaning to you?

Love you 🫶🏽

A glimpse into the garden growth 🥰

Pictured is borage from a wildflower mix, calendula grown from seeds from a friend, a top down photo of my borage + wildflower patch & compost bin, a rose bush planted in honor of my daughter turning one, our first lavender flowers of the season, lady bug visitor on my husband's favorite plant Dill, a page from a book I'm reading, and the caterpillars eating my brussel sprout plants. An offering perhaps? I'll leave it for them.

This space brings me peace, joy, and ultimately I feel a lot of love showing up for these plants and being held by them as they show up for me.

What are you growing this season that captivates you?

✨Farmers Market Fun✨

I love these beautiful summer days 🫶🏽 I woke up exhausted but showed up anyway and I'm grateful I did. I love my community 💕

One of my favorite things about today was delivering a custom yarrow tincture to a client looking to support their varicose veins. Eventually I'll have a select variety of tinctures to offer but for now they are still in the labeling stage! Which I design, print, and put on myself 🤠 yeehaw!

Thank you for all the love and support over the years. I'll never get tired of expressing gratitude for the ability to do this work! You all rock 🫶🏽✨

Love you!

Processing Montana grown Lavender 💜 these intoxicating lavender buds and leaves will be made into our whole plant infused oils and then formulated into herbal oil blends, salves, lip balms, and whatever else I'm inspired to create! ✨

At A Thousand Leaves, we care about quality and it shows in all of our products.

I'm happy to share that we utilize all Montana grown plants (besides St. John's Wort that I wild harvested out of the state). We grow the plants ourselves, forage some, and support our local farmers. I even have some lovely people who allow me to harvest on their land 🫶🏽 it's truly a community effort!

If you love lavender, drop a "💜" and share your favorite experience with this lovely plant ally.

& stay tuned for our shop update on our website in August 2025 (link in bio)

Thank you for all the support; it means the world to me and my family!

✨Wild Rose✨

I didn't take any photos at market today so here is a photo of wild rose found in the Beartooth mountains. There isn't an abundance of this plant where I visited so I left it alone and just admired from a distance 🥰 that is a rule of ethical harvesting. Roses symbolize love which is always the feeling I'm full to the brim with after every single market.

Working with people fills my cup so much it spilleth over 🫶🏽

As always, thank you for the continued support. It is because of all of you that I can continue this work that sets my heart on fire and I am so grateful! 💚

Happy weekend!

Love you.

Hi I'm Jessica and I'm ✨obsessed✨ with lemon leaves!

My whole life I've been known for smelling things, everything. I jokingly say that I have an extensive, detailed scent library stored in my brain but it's true. & all jokes aside, it is a gift and one of my greatest senses. When I got COVID years back, I cried many times when I lost my senses of taste and smell. It made my work very challenging because I rely on those senses every day. Guess what though? I gained them back by utilizing the scent of plants and it didn't take long.

⏭️ Fast forward and now I'm growing all kinds of yummy fragrant plants that fill me with love and joy. The lemon leaves are truly a treat. I utilize all of them for tea except lemon eucalyptus. I'm not sure what to do with that one but the smell was so intoxicating and I'd never seen that plant before so naturally it had to come home with me. It's typically utilized as a bug repellent so I'll have to ponder that.

For now, I'm steeped in the scent of lemony leaves, basking in their gifts. Stay tuned 👀 I'm busy at work drying these plants for future cups of comfort.

Daily reminder: stop and smell the plants 🫶🏽

Love you.

Farmers market day and yarrow harvest!

I always have too many words to share after being re-energized by the community. Y'all have no idea the impact our interactions have on me. 🙏🏽 Thank you for trusting me and my work.

Today I'm feeling grateful for the people who extend a helping hand whether that is offering to help take down my market tent or allow me to harvest on their land. Or gift me a few extra bags of calendula left over after market. I'm consistently reminded by the good in this world and in my opinion, it outweighs the bad. Sometimes it's difficult to see that because mainstream media focuses on the negative/fear based messaging (hello using our psychology against us) but there really are oodles of good people in this world 🫶🏽

I hope you contribute to the good. Sharing kind words, genuine compliments, a smile, a hug. Giving someone your time and attention. Sending them a message of encouragement. Share good news and support others when they share their good news.

Sometimes things that mean little to us mean a lot to others. If you're spreading love and light, you're doing good work. Keep it up 🫶🏽✨

Love you all.

✨Happy Solstice✨

Pictured is a happy herbalist with St. John's Wort 💛 this is one of my favorite herbs for many reasons but more recently I used it to gain feeling back on and around my scar after a ceasarean birth and again for my husband gaining feeling back in his tongue after a dentist procedure. Both were successful!

In addition to nerve pain & numbness support, St. John's Wort has also traditionally supported:

• muscle aches, pain, stiffness
• bruises & minor wounds
• burns including sunburns
• sciatica pain & sprains
• eczema & insect bites
• carpal tunnel and MORE

It's amazing plant medicine I am so grateful for!

In the last photo, you'll see Yarrow + St. John's Wort growing together in a disturbed area.
