Prayers for the safety of all the Robeson County area.

WINTER WEATHER UPDATE (NWS Wilmington Briefing – Jan. 21, 2026 | 1:15 PM) ❄️

Confidence is high that a winter weather event will impact Southeast NC (including Robeson County) and Northeast SC this weekend. Light rain Friday is expected to transition to a wintry mix Saturday, with ice/freezing rain and sleet as the primary concern.

⚠️ Main window of concern: Late Saturday into Sunday
🧊 Impacts: Hazardous travel and possible power outages (ice amounts still uncertain)
🥶 After the storm: Dangerous cold into early next week with single-digit wind chills possible Monday night

Please finish preparations by Friday evening and plan to stay off the roads this weekend if conditions worsen. Stay tuned for updates from NWS and Robeson County Government.
