Ebenezer Deer Crest Each floor plan is designed for your comfort and convenience. Participants report improved strength, balance, sleep and mood.

Located across the street from Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Deer Crest features convenience, hospitality, and the services to make sure you feel at home. Independent living and assisted living apartments include kitchens, private baths, lots of closets and lovely views of the backyard woodlands. Deer Crest offers residents the opportunity to work on their physical strength with a personal trainer from the Red Wing area Y. Certified and certified-eligible professional fitness instructors establish goals with residents and monitor progress with a quarterly report.

🌟 December Employee Spotlight: Reba E! 🌟

This month, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on Reba Ellis, a compassionate and dedicated member of our Deer Crest team. Reba began her career in senior care at just 17 years old, and her heart for helping others has only grown since.

Reba shared that while caregiving can be challenging at times, “putting myself in their shoes makes it easier to care for them.” She loves getting to know our residents and their families, and it shows in the meaningful connections she builds every day.

Outside of work, Reba is endlessly creative—she has taught herself to knit, crochet, and sew! She says, “When I want to learn something, I challenge myself to learn it. My dad always said, ‘Don’t stop until you finish.’ I’ll never be finished learning new things.”

We are so grateful for your dedication, Reba. Thank you for the compassion, curiosity, and heart you bring to Deer Crest! 💚🦌

🌟 November Employee Spotlight: Michelle Claflin 🌟

Meet Michelle — she’s been in senior care for over 23 years and brings caring, respect, and compassion to everything she does! 💚

Her favorite part of the job?
“Helping residents keep their independence and seeing them smile when they say, ‘Oh! It’s you!’”

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys spending time with family, reading, puzzles, and photography — she even painted the picture a picture for one of our residents! 🎨

Fun fact: Her dream trip is to see polar bears in the wild in Churchill, Manitoba! 🐻❄️
