Hope Is Alive! Open Mic Series is an event organized by the Stand Against Stigma Campaign and Committee to raise awareness about mental health and substance use recovery, su***de and su***de loss. We strive to use art and performance to fight stereotypes, promote healing and understanding.

Sponsored by the Shasta County Health and Human Services Agency, in conjunction with the Stand Against Stigma Committee and our many community partners and advisory boards. Funding for this event is provided through the Mental Health Services Act.

We’ve planned some fun and refreshing outings this month—perfect for enjoying the season and spending time with friends. Check the calendar for dates and details!

🎨 The Art of Wellbeing – Annual Art Show & Open Mic
Save the Date: October 17th
Our favorite fall tradition is just around the corner! Whether you’re a painter, poet, fiber artist, or performer, we invite you to showcase your talents and celebrate the healing power of creativity.

🧶 Open Art & Fiber Craft Studio
To help you prepare for the show, we’re hosting Open Studio sessions every Wednesday and Thursday from 1–3 PM throughout September. Each session will feature planned art activities and materials, but participants are also warmly invited to bring their own projects and enjoy the creative energy of our community space.

💬 Taking Action for Whole Health and Wellbeing Workshop
Our popular Wednesday workshop will be returning in October—stay tuned for updates and registration info. We’re excited to dive back into meaningful conversations and practical tools for wellness.

🍁 End-of-Month Celebration: Don't Stop Be-Leafing
Join us for a joyful celebration to wrap up the month! Expect music, laughter, and a chance to connect with others as we welcome the fall season together.
