After 28 years of practicing medicine in Redding, CA, I will be closing my practice, Richard Mooney, MD, Inc., DBA: Women’s Healthcare Associates of Redding and Asuriti Center for Continence and Pelvic Wellness located at 2420 Sonoma Street in Redding, the practice of Richard Mooney, MD, Jorge Pena, MD and Hanh Cline, PA-C. I will be relocating to another state to pursue a teaching opportunity.

Our office will be closing effective March 3, 2023. After this date our office will no longer be scheduling appointments and we will no longer be refilling prescriptions. We strongly encourage our patients to return to your primary care provider for continued care or to be referred to a specialist of your choice. If you are having difficulty locating another medical provider you can contact your health plan who can provide you list of medical providers in their network.

Hanh Cline, PA-C will be moving full time to Pulse Urgent Care and will be available to see patients for women’s health services from that location. The address to Pulse Urgent Care is 100 East Cypress Ave. Redding, Ca 96002. You can make an appointment with her by calling 530-722-1111

Jorge Pena, MD will be remaining in the area and in the future will be making an announcement of a new practice location. Our website will have a list of OB/GYN providers in our area to contact for possible transfer of care.
Release of Medical Records forms are available via the patient portal in our electronic medical record, Athena Health. Our office has contracted with Professional Medical Copy Service of Redding to provide patients with a copy of their medical records.

They will charge a reasonable flat fee of $25 for processing medical records requests. They can be reached by visit their website or calling (530) 241-2971.

I would like to extend deep appreciation to all of our patients. Thank you for your confidence in me and my staff for your years of loyalty and friendship. It has been a privilege to care for so many people in this community. It has been a pleasure to work with so many dedicated and talented nurses, doctors, technicians, and support personnel over the years. All are an integral part of our medical community.
