Poetry, laughter and good company. 📖✨​Residents Bezo and Bob M. hosted a poetry reading celebrating Billy Collins, whose conversational, witty poems use humor to reveal tender and often profound moments from everyday life. There were plenty of smiles—including a shared laugh from Jane M.—making the afternoon feel warm, welcoming and wonderfully human.

🥾 During hiking season, residents Louise and Kirby K. lead fellow members of the Meadow Ridge Hiking Group on Friday morning adventures to nearby nature preserves, rain or shine.

During the hiking hiatus, the group took the opportunity to show their appreciation for their guides’ dedication and leadership in our lush, three-story atrium—the next best thing to the beautiful trails they love. Their spirit of adventure and generosity has truly left footprints on our hearts! 💚 👣

During the cold winter months, our music socials bring friends together in a warm, inviting way. 🎶​

Residents Doug D. and Laurie S. were among those enjoying the fun, singing along with pianist and vocalist Larry Batter during a spirited performance in our skylit atrium. The space was filled with music and smiles—just one of the many live musical gatherings our residents enjoy throughout the year.

Things are looking bright for solar in Redding. ☀️ Joel Barlow High School sophomore Allie Humphrey shared how CT Green Bank could support and finance a proposed solar project. ​

​Her presentation sparked conversation with Redding First Selectman Julia Pemberton, Meadow Ridge residents and Solar Committee members Chris T., Susanne K., Jim L., Susan A. and Carol M. A proud moment followed as Allie’s father joined her, showcasing the impact of student leadership and community support.

💍Picture this: it’s June 6, 1970. Beloved residents Lynn & Ric E. dressed in their finest, celebrate their wedding with 50 friends in a garage buffet—rakes and shovels lining the walls—while rain pours outside.

Nothing dampened their joy—they honeymooned on Cape Cod and Newport, RI, creating memories to last a lifetime! ☔❤️​

​“It’s relaxing, fun and keeps me out of trouble,” he says with a grin. ☺️​

​His work, recently featured in an exhibition at Meadow Ridge, reflects a lifetime of creativity—from early inspiration by Picasso to his career spent transforming office spaces. Bill’s art invites conversation and fosters connection.
