Exciting News from the office of Richard Malotky, M.D.

What happened to Dr. Malotky? Why did that slacker take 10 months off?

It turns out that he had a pretty serious medical condition. Naturally, he could not settle for anything common or routine: Dr. Malotky had an aortic dissection while he was archery hunting for whitetail deer in Kansas. He was in the hospital for two months (and tried to die a few times) and then came home and had open heart surgery to repair the problem.

Now he is feeling better and ready to get back to work…part time at first. In his absence, wonderful people filled in.
A big thank you to Dr. Pam Ikuta, Dr. James Mu and Dr. Christine Liwanpo who jumped in took care of everyone, along with our great Nurse Practitioner, Tamara Yoshida, who many of you have met. Dr. Malotky is eternally grateful for their help and grace.

Dr. Malotky missed his patients terribly and would like to apologize for being a slacker! But he is back and excited about helping with your medical issues.

Exciting News from the office of Richard Malotky, M.D.

Your prayers and support have been miraculous!

“They put a mirror in front of me and saw breath so…I thought it was time for me to get back to work!” Richard Malotky

We are pleased to announce that beginning the week of April 14, 2025, Dr. Richard Malotky will be working two days a week and we have added Tamara Yoshida, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, to the team. NP Yoshida will be working the other two days of the week to serve our patients.

Tamara Yoshida, NP, has been graciously assisting our office while Dr. Malotky has been recovering and has accepted our offer to join the practice. With years of experience, including emergency room RN supervision, patient care coordination and FNP care, most recently with a focus on hormone replacement therapy, she brings a wealth of knowledge and compassion to the practice.

In addition to family practice care, NP Yoshida’s expertise and experience with hormone replacement therapy (HRT) will allow the office to offer this comprehensive treatment to adults and will partner with the office’s overall goal for the health and well-being for our patients.

We are looking forward to continuing to serve our patients.

(RECENT UPDATE) Dr. Malotky is home! We ask that you pray for his continued recovery. He is working diligently with his physical therapist and physicians to regain his strength.

Beginning in March, Dr. Malotky will be in the office on a limited basis and will work in conjunction with the caring, professional, and highly respected local medical providers who are assisting in the delivery of excellent medical care for our patients. We appreciate your understanding during this time. We are committed to delivering consistent, quality care for our patients.
