How amazing to get this little one’s retrognathic mandible in a much better place as the surgical release is coming up. That also means the Floor of the Mouth freed up a lot, and this means it’s very on track in terms of the prep!

This was last week. I saw them again today, and there’s even more progress to celebrate!

The Floor 4 came in very handy as I essentially checked off the areas in my mind that were issues before, and today it was really mainly the suboccipital diaphragm that needed to be released in order for that classic right-sided Floor of mouth tension to reduce significantly.

I’d love to explain more on how I dealt with the tricky, nuanced appearance of the transient, postural based mandible on this visit.

Crucial for anyone who has a jaw that’s tucked back too far, fancy words = retrognathic/retruded mandible.

Whether it’s your jaw, or someone’s your caring for, stay tuned for a stellar resource coming soon all about how to get those mandibles to glide anteriorly.

👣 Did you know Primitive Reflexes play a crucial role in development? 🧠 In the new episode, I sit down with the incredible Brooke Nicole Brown, creator of The Bennett Method! Brooke's journey with her son Bennett's severe bilateral clubfoot led her to deeply understand how these foundational reflexes impact everything from movement to overall well-being.

We discuss how crucial it is to integrate primitive reflexes, and how The Bennett Method expertly weaves Primitive Reflex Therapy into its comprehensive approach, alongside Floor of the Mouth techniques, Craniosacral Fascial Therapy, and more. ✨ Brooke's work demonstrates that addressing these early reflexes can unlock profound healing, just as it did for Bennett, who now runs, jumps, and plays! 💪 This episode is a must-listen for parents and practitioners wanting to understand the root causes of developmental challenges.
