Neuroplasticity is the brain's ability to change, adapt, and reorganize throughout life. It allows us to learn, relearn, recover from injuries, and adapt to new situations by forming new connections between neurons.
In fact, in the short time, it took you to read that first paragraph, functions of Neuroplasticity occurred.
As we are exposed to negative interactions, environments, relationships, etc. our brain learns negative thought as the standard of thought within our brains. If we maintain a commitment to all that is wrong in the world, while bypassing all that is beautiful, right, and peace-giving, we will have taught our brains to mainly perceive negative aspects.
Repetition of exposure or even thought, is what creates these new connections. However, it takes more than twice as many repetitions of negative exposures, to connect 2 neurons and build a connection of negative ideology, than it does positive exposures in order to build positive ideology.
Depending on which of the plethora of studies you choose to accept as fact, it takes between 25 and 28 repetitions of negative exposure to connect 2 neurons. While it only takes between 10 and 12 repetitions of positive exposure to create a connection.
As you build connections between your neurons, you build your own ideologies, happiness and peace, or you can build towards the opposite.
I hope you all take the shortest road to neuron connectivity :-)
