Back in February, I started working for a family - just once every 2 or 3 weeks...cleaning or whatever they needed accomplished. I try to be as flexible as possible to the needs of the client.

The Mother was having a tough pregnancy, could no longer clean to her standards, and worked full time still. Dad worked full time outside the home. And there was a toddler in the mix.

Then, Mom had baby at 34 weeks.
An emergency c-section, vertical incision.
I don't know all of those details.

Every visit, I see relief on Mom's face.
I enjoy the conversations.

I genuinely love this work.
Being someone's village!

Happy International Women’s Day! 🌿

In honor of this day, here's a belly drop progression picture of my pregnancy with Naomi!

This pregnancy commenced about 90 days after I lost my Dad to su***de. This pregnancy was one of abundant healing - both mentally and physically.

This pregnancy was easier and less eventful than Vietta's. I had the knowledge to advocate for the birth I wanted, other than a tear that needed some stitching, I birthed her without any intervention. I experienced FER - the fetal ejection reflex! It was euphoric feeling my body work, just as intended. It was completely necessary for me to experience that, as my birth with Vietta was full of intervention (that also left behind some trauma & anxiety) because we were in the 34th week of pregnancy. It was incredibly healing to experience an unmedicated vaginal birth ♥️

Today, I had the pleasure of supporting a Momma having a bit of a rough pregnancy.

A couple weeks ago, her sister contacted me, as she was gifting the services. She knew I was a postpartum doula, but asked if I'd give prenatal support to a high risk mom.

I didn't hesitate!
My gut said yes, so we booked at my hourly rate what she needed most...a deep clean of her bathrooms and the rest of her home cleaned.

Is this my typical service? No.
But nothing beats seeing relief on a client's face. Nothing. If I can do it and you'll pay my rate, we're golden.

This Momma wouldn't let me leave until we booked her next appointment.

This is what I want to do the rest of my life.
I want to help women. Specifically those having rough pregnancies or who are in the trenches of their postpartum era.

I can completely relate to not being able to clean.
I can relate to the highs & lows postpartum.

I thrive for community.
I crave the village.
I can be your village...

Authenticity. 💁🏼‍♀️

Living in my wholeness & truth has always been important to me. 💯

Although, it didn't really set in it's importance until my Dad died in 2017.

I started working when I was 14 years old. I was a hostess in a family restaurant. I genuinely LOVED building relationships with the "regulars." From there I went to a popular coffee shop, then retail/retail management before eventually staying home with our children. I ventured back out in 2020 when we bought a business & did the bookkeeping/HR side of things until we sold it in 2022. Now, I'm enjoying working at our girl's school while I build up my own passion - working with women in their postpartum era!

I can remember vividly being told that I was "too emotional" for certain jobs & roles. But deep down I knew that was really bullsh*t. I was just doing the wrong things 😆🤷🏼‍♀️ (We should really be out here destroying the idea that suppressing emotions is a sign of strength!)

I'm truly grateful for all of the experiences I've lived through because they were all the subtle nudges I needed to get me moving on the most authentic path for myself. ♥️
