Everybody who knew Jolise while she worked at JonBec is heartbroken at her sudden passing at way too young. She was with us for over 5 years our secretary and then a QIDP. Always quick to help, cheerful, smiling and friendly she brought joy to those around her.

Jenny, who has been our Corporate Secretary for the past year, has accepted a deployment by EMSA and today was her last day. We’ve loved having her here but have known it would be temporary because EMS is her first love and she needs that adrenaline rush. We know she’s going to be amazing working at the fire camps. We wish her all the best but will be missing her cheerful smiling face and helpfulness, not to mention her computer wizardry

Today our Cora retired. She dedicated her life to serving the clients. She started at Mt. View Childcare Center (Now Totally Kids) in 1982 and joined JonBec Care when we purchased the facilities she was working at in 1996. She served as a Facility Manager for most of those years until she semi-retired by stepping down and moving to Plum Lane Learning Center. We will all miss her but I know the clients are going to miss her as much as she told me today that she will miss them.

Laura, our Payroll Bookkeeper, is moving on after 30 years at JonBec Care. She started as a Direct Care Staff and then promoted to a Facility Manager at York House. She moved into the corporate office at least 17 years ago. This decision has been heart wrenching for Laura since she has spent her adult life growing and learning and living with our JonBec family. Today was a day of laughter and tears and at the end we wish her all the best and know we will keep in touch

6/1/2022 Plum Lane Learning Center has opened for in person services at a limited capacity. We are so excited!!!! It’s hard to tell who is more happy to be back after the long 2 years and 3 months since we moved to remote services - the clients or the staff!

- No experience necessary for caregivers, direct care staff, CNAs,
- LVN and Psych Tech new grads welcome.
- Facility Managers should have some experience working with the intellectually disabled.
- Paid training is provided for all positions

We pay for CPR, N-95 respirator fit test, physical, TB testing, drug screening and live scan fingerprints. Getting a job should not cost you money!

- Caregivers rate of pay $17.21 - $17.50
- Facility Manager rate is $20.00 starting
- LVNs and Psych Techs rate is $25.50
Rates include temporary $2.00 crisis pay

Michael (Mickey) Kane, QIDP/Administrator, is retiring after serving our clients for 22 years. He has the biggest heart and has been an amazing advocate for all JonBec clients. They will remember him for taking them to the races in Fontana, many many trips to Disneyland, fishing, sing-a-longs, and so much more. We will all miss him and wish him the best in his travels.

The Triplex (Blandford, Canterbury, Salisbury) know how to throw a party! Celebrating all the February and March birthdays with a taco truck, piñata, decorations, music and gifts! Those smiles say it all! There is no greater feeling than seeing our clients so happy and having such an amazing time. Yesterday, 3/31/2022, was UB’s last day as QIDP/Administrator with us. After almost 5 years of dedicated service with JonBec she has decided to focus on her education and has been accepted into a MSW program. I know her staff and clients are going to miss her but we are happy for her as she continues to pursue her goals.
