APRIL IS NATIONAL DONATE LIFE MONTH! 💙💚 This april, we invite you to look up to the night sky and the billions of stars that make up the universe. Stars remind us that even in the darkest night, there is light. ✨

It is a month long observance focusing national attention on the need and importance of organ, eye and tissue donation. National donate life month is a reminder of the profound impact each of us can have. It's a time to reflect on the importance of registering as a donor, to honor the generosity of deceased and living donors, and to celebrate the countless lives they've saved.

This afternoon, I’ll be on a Zoom call with the CEO of Organize.org to catch myself up on the dismantling of the current organ recipients list. I currently don’t have an opinion either way yet. I’m just gathering information. ❤️‍🩹

28,000 organs go unrecovered every year, leading to loss of life and increased Medicare costs.

"My 5 month old daughter was sick with a runny nose and cough. She then developed some wheezing and breathing symptoms. I had taken her to urgent care and was told she was fine; however, when I brought her back home I immediately put her Owlet Dream Sock on to monitor her oxygen. A few hours later, I received an alert that her oxygen was low and I was able to see it was continuing to drop. I promptly took her to the emergency room and she was then admitted to the hospital where she tested positive for two different respiratory viruses. She is now home and back to her bubbly and healthy self.

I am so grateful for our Owlet Dream Sock because I would not have known how low my daughter's oxygen was dropping. Thanks to her Dream Sock I was able to catch her symptoms early on, which allowed us to get the timely care she needed. Thank you so much for making this product available."

Several years ago (2006) I created a little event called "Dressing up Red" where young children and young adults could dress up in red and share their heart journeys in a sort of camaraderie.

Fast forward to right before the pandemic, I started the process of having the phrase trademarked.

Recently, a dress shop in Dallas, TX decided they would like to use the phrase, and wanted to trademark the phrase. So the attorneys called me to see if I wanted to finish the application or let them have it.

I am now the proud trademark owner of "Dressing up Red®" in all 50 states. I know it's a small thing, but it's important to me personally.

Dr. Leonard Bailey, (pictured) my daughter's heart transplant surgeon said to me, "Look at the faces of these little ones talking to each other; and sharing their scars, look what you have created, It's as it should be"

Children and young adults who are successfully battling cardiovascular disease were treated to a night of glamour on Feb. 28, at “Dressing Up Red” at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital. In h…
