Maximize the benefits of your massage with a few simple steps:
1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Massage increases circulation and lymphatic movement, which can release toxins. Drinking plenty of water helps flush them out and reduces post-massage soreness.
2. Take It Easy
Avoid strenuous activity for at least a few hours. Let your body absorb the full benefit of the session.
3. Eat Light
A heavy meal post-massage can slow down the body's recovery. Stick with something light and nourishing.
4. Rest or Nap if You Can
Donโt be surprised if you feel sleepy after your massage. Your nervous system may have shifted into a deep relaxation mode. Listen to your body and rest if needed.
