SpeechPath

SpeechPath SpeechPath provides speech therapy for infants, children, and adults who have special needs in the areas of speech, language, and pragmatics.

SpeechPath provides speech therapy for infants, children, and adults who have special needs in the areas of speech, language, and pragmatics in the Inland Empire area. SpeechPath offers a friendly and comfortable setting for therapy and sessions are tailored for an individualโ€™s success. Our flexibility and one on one approach allows us to provide exceptional service to working adults and busy families. The earlier a child's speech and language problems are identified and treated, the less likely those problems will persist. Early speech and language intervention can help children become more successful with reading, writing, school, and interpersonal relationships. When not successfully treated in early years, speech disorders may persist into adulthood. Unexpected life events may also cause the need for therapy. Intervention and practice will have a deep positive result in both your professional and personal lives. SpeechPath will give you the materials and skills needed for successful communication.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ This National Speech-Language-Hearing Month, I'm prioritizing the amazing teachers I work with by providing vocal hygiene strategies and hearing screenings. Their dedication shapes the future of our students, and this is my way of showing appreciation. ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ‘‚๐Ÿ“š

I successfully made it through my first week back to school this year in person. Things were quite different, but I loved seeing students so happy to be back on campus and being able to talk to my colleagues in person. ๐Ÿ’š

Knowing signs of hearing loss in babies and toddlers is so important for parents. As an early intervention SLP, I cannot tell you how many times I hear things like โ€œBut he hears when his Dad comes home from work before me because he hears his truck.โ€ or โ€œHe hears when I yell his name.โ€ I then gracefully get on my soapbox and explain frequencies of hearing and signs of hearing loss. And often, I get a response of โ€œI actually have hearing loss myself.โ€ The next step: ENT/audiology referal. And a lot of my clients end up having tubes put in, about 6 months of speech therapy ... and then they donโ€™t.stop.talking! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป

Informing our parents is key! Helping them ask for a referral is also important! But most importantly, guiding them through this unknown process is what they need and appreciate the most!
