It's time for another Binstock Family Update! ✨

February was a big month for the Binstock family, highlighted by Lyra’s very first dance recital and some sweet Valentine’s Day celebrations. Everyone, especially Margot, was so proud of Lyra’s debut on stage. Now Margot is eager to join the fun and start dance lessons of her own. With both girls twirling their hearts out, the next recital promises to be twice as delightful!

🧠👁️ What Is an Epiretinal Membrane?

Have you ever noticed blurry or wavy vision that won’t go away? It could be more than just tired eyes.

An epiretinal membrane (ERM), also known as a macular pucker, is a thin layer of scar tissue that forms on the surface of your retina. It can cause your central vision to become distorted or blurry. 📉🔍

Common Symptoms:
✨ Blurred or distorted central vision
✨ Straight lines appear wavy
✨ Difficulty reading fine print

Causes:
Most ERMs are age-related but can also follow eye surgery, inflammation, or retinal tears.

Treatment Options:
Many cases are mild and just monitored. But if vision becomes affected, a procedure called vitrectomy can help.

If you’re noticing unusual changes in your vision, get a dilated eye exam and talk to your eye doctor!

We’re excited to share that Dr. Binstock recently repeated his own LipiFlow treatment to help manage dry eye and meibomian gland dysfunction (MGD). MGD is one of the most common causes of dry eye, and LipiFlow is designed to treat it at the source by improving oil gland function. If you’ve noticed symptoms like discomfort, burning, stinging, blurred vision, or watery eyes, dry eye could be the reason. The littlest Binstock has just turned two and is fully leaning into toddler life! Margot's personality is truly popping, and she’ll happily “chat” with anyone who gives her a moment. She takes any opportunity she can get to be a big girl like her big sister. Margot definitely keeps the whole family laughing and on their toes!
