🌞 Cocktails in the Courtyard 🌱

Recently, the weather turned around for our social in the courtyard! Residents and their families, along with our volunteers, and Life Enrichment team, enjoyed the sunshine surrounded by beautiful flowers, veggies, and herbs that have been thriving all summer.

We refreshed ourselves with fresh watermelon and mint juleps, making the afternoon extra sweet and relaxing. Some residents spent time with loved ones, while others mingled and connected with friends -- a wonderful way to celebrate the season together! 💞

We host Cocktails in the Courtyard every Wednesday with a special crafted cocktail, wine, or beer, plus a delicious snack. Come join the fun! 😁

🍅🌱From Garden to Table - and Screen! 🎬💚

Our community garden is thriving! With kale, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, onions, radishes, peas, and chives all coming to life. It's been a joy watching (and tasting) the fruits of our labor.

Recently, we took a special harvest -- our beautiful green tomatoes -- and turned them into something delicious: crispy fried green tomatoes!

To make it even more fun, we enjoyed our homemade treat while watching Fried Green Tomatoes -- a perfect pairing of food, film, and connection. 😁

🎶✨ Yesterday was such a treat!

Our Life Enrichment team hosted a Fireside Sing-Along with Larry the Guitarist, and the air was filled with music, laughter, and community. Residents joined in singing their favorite campfire tunes while enjoying fresh s'mores, juicy watermelon, and our homemade strawberry mint lemonade made with mint from the garden. 🍉🌿🍓

We took a stroll along our Hidden Loop Trail, where residents discovered some of nature's treasure -- a plum tree, a pear tree, and wild blackberries! 🍐🌳

The weather couldn't have been more perfect, and we loved seeing so many residents come together to enjoy the outdoors, the songs, and friendship. 💞

The garden is bursting with color — flowers blooming, bees buzzing, and sunshine warming every corner. It always amazes us how quickly it all appears… and just as quickly, fades.

A gentle reminder from nature: soak it up while it lasts. Take the walk. Sit in the sun. Smell the flowers. These beautiful moments don’t stay forever, but they stay with us.

We took advantage of the sunshine and hosted a Field Day for our amazing staff -- and our residents jumped right into the fun! 💪💛

From classic games to tasty snacks and lots of laughter, it was a joyful afternoon filled with movement, connection, and sunshine. There's something special about seeing team members and residents side by side -- cheering each other on and soaking up the good vibes.

Our residents created these lovely lavender scent bags -- made with locally sourced lavender and materials gathered right here in our own community.

The soothing scent of lavender filled the air as we crafted these calming keepsakes, each one a little reminder to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the simple pleasures around us. 🌿

Not only did this activity bring peace and relaxation, but it also gave us a chance to connect with nature, our community, and one another. We love when a small project brings so much joy!
