Transition Network - HDESD

Transition Network - HDESD The HDESD's Transition Network helps students with intellectual and developmental disabilities transition to productive lives after high school.

The High Desert Education Service District’s Transition Network helps students with intellectual and developmental disabilities transition to independent and productive lives after high school. To make this happen, we partner directly with students and their families, as well as educators throughout school districts in Central Oregon. We provide tools, outreach, technical assistance and training opportunities to support students in their successful transition from high school to employment or secondary education. We offer:
Technical assistance for educators of students with disabilities who are of transition age. Resources for students, families and educators and connections to community partners that provide services such as vocational rehabilitation, support services, developmental disability programs, family advocacy and employment services. Training and professional development for educators on policy and systems changes.
