Whether you’re an active mom, a climber, a runner, or someone who just loves staying on the move, we hope today gives you a moment to pause, recharge, and enjoy time with the people who matter most. 🧡

Thanksgiving can be busy on the body (and the mind), so here’s your gentle reminder:
✨ take a short walk after your meal
✨ stretch for a few minutes tonight
✨ drink some water between the festivities
✨ give your body a little kindness — it works hard for you

From Dr. Ben and I, we’re thankful for this community and for everyone who trusts us to help them move, recover, and live well.

We’re so grateful for families like Brandy’s who trust us with their care. 🧡

Helping young athletes feel confident in their bodies — and supported through the ups and downs of training, school, and busy routines — is something Dr. Maggie truly loves. Building trust, creating a plan that actually works, and meeting each patient where they are is what makes these visits meaningful.

Thank you, Brandy, for sharing your experience and for letting us be part of your daughter’s journey. It means the world to us. 💪

Winter workdays can hit hard — darker mornings, chilly commutes, and long hours at the desk. But a few simple habits can help keep your body feeling good and your energy steady throughout the day.

Here are our go-to tips for office days in winter:
1️⃣Take movement breaks. Stand, stretch, or walk for 1 minute every hour to ease stiffness from sitting.
2️⃣Layer up. Keeping your core warm helps prevent that tight, achy feeling that hits when cold air meets tense muscles.
3️⃣Hydrate more than you think. It’s easy to drink less water in winter — staying hydrated helps maintain comfort and focus.

Winter doesn’t have to slow you down — small adjustments can make a big difference in how you feel from 9 to 5. ❄️💪

Staying active during pregnancy is one of the best things you can do for your comfort, energy, and recovery. The key is to move in ways that feel good for your body. Walking, gentle strength training, and prenatal yoga are all great options that help with mobility, stability, and confidence as your body changes.

Dr. Maggie’s Tip: Pair your movement with mindful nutrition. Small, balanced meals with plenty of hydration and protein will help fuel your body and support your growing baby. ✨

And remember — every pregnancy looks a little different. Give yourself grace, listen to your body, and celebrate what it’s capable of. You’re stronger than you think. 💪

Great question, and the answer is sometimes! ❄️ When temps drop, muscles and joints can feel stiffer, and uneven terrain adds extra challenge. But with the right prep, hiking through fall and winter can actually be one of the best ways to stay active and grounded.

Here’s what Dr. Ben recommends before hitting the trail:
🥾Warm up before you go. A few squats, lunges, or hip circles can help loosen things up.
🧤Layer smart. Stay warm but avoid overheating — breathable base layers are key.
🚶‍♂️Take your time. Shorter strides on icy or rocky paths protect your knees and hips from extra strain.

Movement doesn’t have to stop when the weather changes — just adjust how you prepare. And if you’re lucky, you might even meet a mountain friend like this guy. 🐐😄

Pregnancy is an incredible mix of change and adaptation — your posture shifts, your center of gravity moves, and muscles you didn’t even know existed start working overtime. ✨

Dr. Maggie’s Pro Tip: Focus on gentle, consistent movement like walking, prenatal yoga, or light stretching. These help support balance, reduce tension, and keep your body feeling comfortable as it grows and changes.

And remember, rest is just as important as movement. Give yourself grace, stay hydrated, and don’t be afraid to slow down when your body asks for it. 🌿

Here’s Dr. Ben’s top tip: Let your hips do the work, not your arms. Most of the power in a kettlebell swing comes from a strong hip drive, not from pulling with your upper body. When your lower body leads the movement, your form improves and your shoulders stay happy.

✅Focus on smooth, controlled reps — not just speed or weight.
✅Finish each set by resetting your stance and taking a few deep breaths before the next round.

A few mindful reps now can save you from a lot of tension later. 🔥

Cool air, colorful trails, and just the right amount of adventure — fall hiking season is here in full force. 🍁 Here are 3 things Dr. Ben recommends to help you stay comfortable and avoid post-hike soreness:

1️⃣Warm up before you hit the trail. Even a few leg swings or walking lunges can wake up your muscles and prep your joints for the terrain ahead.
2️⃣Keep your stride short on the downhill. This helps reduce stress on your knees and hips when navigating loose leaves or rocky ground.
3️⃣Stretch it out when you’re done. Focus on calves, hamstrings, and hips — the areas that work hardest on the trail.

Hiking should leave you feeling refreshed, not stiff. Where’s your favorite fall trail near Redmond? ⬇️

The holidays are slowly approaching. Halloween, Thanksgiving, and before you know it, Christmas! 🎃🦃🎄

For many active moms, this time of year means long to-do lists, packed schedules, and less time to move your body the way you’d like. Between work, family, and holiday prep, it’s easy to put yourself last, but your health and energy matter just as much this season.

Here’s how to stay active and focused through the holidays:
✨ Keep up with your movement routine, even if it’s just short walks or stretching between errands.
✨ Stay hydrated (yes, even with all the pumpkin spice).
✨ Schedule your visits with Dr. Maggie to keep your body moving comfortably through it all.

Booking your next appointment is a great way to stay consistent with your goals and give your body the care it deserves before the season gets busy. 🍂

Your body just did something incredible, now it deserves care, patience, and movement that helps you rebuild strength and confidence. Here are 5 things to focus on after pregnancy:

1️⃣Rest when you can. Recovery starts with giving your body time to heal — it’s not laziness, it’s essential.
2️⃣Move gently. Short walks or light stretching can help ease stiffness and boost energy.
3️⃣Nourish your body. Choose meals rich in protein, healthy fats, and hydration — your energy depends on it.
4️⃣Reconnect with movement. Try yoga or breathing exercises to rebuild stability and core control from the inside out.
5️⃣Ask for help. Whether it’s your provider, family, or your chiropractor — you don’t have to do recovery alone.

Your journey doesn’t end after birth — it just shifts. Take it one day, one breath, and one gentle movement at a time. 🌿
