An especially meaningful visit to the Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum today, to add to our Veterans Day events. FHCAM is dedicated to the display and preservation of rare military aircraft, tanks and other military equipment. Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at Mukilteo Speedway Café, sharing stories of friends and loved ones. Thanks to everyone who made today so special.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day at Fairwinds Redmond 🇺🇸

We had such a meaningful Veterans Day celebration this week! Eliza from Amada Senior Care joined us for a Veterans Benefits presentation, helping our veterans and their families better understand the resources available to them.

Afterward, we hosted a special Veterans Appreciation Luncheon for our veterans and the spouses of veterans, oh, and Chef really outdid himself. The prime rib was cooked to perfection… which may or may not explain the slight delay in getting this post up. We’re still recovering from all that deliciousness. 😅🥩

To all who served, and to the families who served right alongside them, thank you. We are honored to celebrate you yesterday, today and every day. ❤️🇺🇸

Today we enjoyed another incredible performance at Benaroya Hall. The Seattle Symphony, led by associate conductor Sunny Xia, delivered a stunning performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.
Dutch violinist Simone Lamsma’s artistry and emotion were extraordinary. Looking forward to our next trip to see the symphony in December

Last night, fifteen residents and friends enjoyed Supper Club at Angelo’s in Bellevue. The restaurant sparked memories of family dinners and past visits, and the only quiet moments came when we were enjoying the delicious food.
A special thank you to Wendy, our server who took care of our table. Looking forward to our next Supper Club for the Holidays

Today we headed out to Cougar Mountain Zoo for a hands-on look at some incredible wildlife.
We got up close with the reindeer, feeding them apples and learning about their behavior and seasonal routines. We walked among exotic birds, and enjoyed watching the cougars watch us back! The real highlight was seeing three lion cubs play and enjoy feeding time. Thanks to Bryan for being our tour guide.

A spooktacular look into our Halloween Costume Party today. We created a story through AI using the characters our amazing employees came dressed as. We filled Red Sky restaurant with staff, residents and family. Happy Halloween everyone!

Today we celebrated the incredible creativity of our community with over 20 residents works on display. From quilting, cross stitch, and needlepoint to wooden miniatures, driftwood sculptures, military pin collections, photography, and breathtaking oil, acrylic, and watercolor paintings-every piece was a testament to the talent and passion within our artists.
Adding to the magic, we were serenaded by our wonderful piano man, Sam Burns, whose music brought warmth and joy to the event.
We are so proud of our residents and grateful to everyone who helped make our third annual Art Show so special. Here's to celebrating creativity, and the connection it so clearly brings.

What an inspiring afternoon at our first Art Show Presentation Day! We were honored to witness three incredible presentations by our talented residents:
•Quilting & Design – A beautiful showcase of craftsmanship and storytelling through fabric.
•Family Art History (From 1864 in England) – A touching journey of creativity and legacy.
•Painting & Photography – Stunning visuals and techniques that brought color and emotion to life.
The presentations were filled with supportive friends and neighbors and we were reminded of just how creative and talented our residents truly are.
Thank you to everyone who shared their work and stories—you’ve inspired us all. We look forward to more art on display tomorrow in our Open House Art Show from 2pm-4pm.

We escaped the wild Redmond weather yesterday and enjoyed a fantastic outing to Benaroya Hall for the kickoff of the National Geographic Live series! 🌧️➡️🎭
Archaeologist Lisa Briggs took us on a thrilling journey through the Golden Age of Piracy, introducing us to legendary figures like Bartholomew Roberts, the formidable female pirate Zheng Yi Sao, and the infamous Blackbeard (aka Edward Teach). 🏴‍☠️🌊
It was an afternoon full of adventure, history, and discovery!

Today we hosted our annual Tricks and Treats Social, and it was a blast! We welcomed local families and friends to celebrate Halloween with tricks, treats, crafts, and temporary tattoos—and our residents had so much fun handing out candy to all the little visitors.
From spooky to silly, the costumes were amazing, and the smiles were even better. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this festive day of fun and connection!
