💙 Giving Back with Hopelink 💙

We are deeply grateful to Hopelink for the work and dedication they provide to our community, and for the time their leaders shared with us during our visit to their headquarters last week. Hearing more about their programs, touring the Hopelink Market, and exploring the ways we can contribute reminded us of the collective impact we can help create.

For more than 30 years, Emerald Heights residents have supported Hopelink’s mission to end poverty, volunteering over 1,600 hours in the past five years and donating more than $200,000 in the last decade. Our residents’ passion for giving back is at the very heart of who we are, and their dedication to serving others continues to inspire us all.

We were honored to welcome Takumi Kato of Peaceful Forest to Emerald Heights for a spectacular Taiko drum performance!

A world champion drummer from Japan, Takumi, and his three sons travel the globe spreading a message of peace and harmony through music. Emerald Heights was proud to be show #513 in their journey to 1,000 performances across all 50 states!

It was a packed house, filled with energy, rhythm, and joy.

Our residents enjoy a wide variety of events, activities, and interest groups each month. It’s experiences like this that keep us learning, growing, and creating new memories together.

Summer Games = Summer Spirit! ☀️🏅

Last week, the Emerald Heights campus came alive with the joy of connection during our annual Summer Games, a celebration of fun, friendship, and friendly competition.

Residents and staff each took part in a variety of events, from lawn bowling and corn hole to noodleball, a dog agility course, and even some good old-fashioned brain games. While the games tested our skills and reflexes, it was the laughter, cheers, and shared moments that truly stole the show.

A huge shoutout to our amazing Fitness & Wellness team members for organizing a week full of movement, smiles, and community spirit. Until next year, let the games live on!

Residents and staff from Emerald Heights brought the energy to this weekend’s City of Redmond, Washington, Derby Days parade, spreading smiles, tossing candy, and having way too much fun with the bubble gun!

We even spotted fellow Emerald Heights residents cheering us on from the sidelines, making the day even more special. It was a joy to be part of such a vibrant community celebration, and we can’t wait to do it all again next year!

Last week marked an exciting milestone at Emerald Heights, moving week for our Assisted Living residents into the brand-new FirView building!

Our founding residents are now settling into their beautiful new spaces, bringing life, warmth, and personality to make FirView truly feel like home.

We’re incredibly grateful to our trusted partners who helped make the transition smooth and stress-free, and to our amazing team members who were ready with open arms (and a few special treats!) to help make each move-in moment memorable.

With FirView now open and full of new beginnings, our team is energized and committed to making this a welcoming, supportive space where residents can continue to thrive.

Our resident-led Bonsai Group is proudly hosting its third annual Bonsai Showcase today and tomorrow, and we are blown away by the beauty, care, and artistry being poured into each tree. Each display reflects patience, creativity, and an appreciation for the natural world on a miniature scale.

This group meets monthly and welcomes all experience levels, from curious beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. With over 50 interest groups on campus, residents at Emerald Heights are always learning, growing, and discovering new passions.

There’s something powerful about the world of bonsai, a quiet reminder of balance, restraint, and the art of time. 🌿
