“All or nothing” thinking can make teens believe they’re all good or all bad.
When teens see situations as total success or complete failure, it fuels anxiety, perfectionism, low self-esteem, and emotional burnout. This kind of black-and-white thinking leaves little room for growth, mistakes, or self-compassion—things teens need most while developing their identity.
In this conversation, Celina Serna, Program Director at our Van Nuys location, sits down with Kent Toussaint, Founder and Clinical Director of the Teen Therapy Center, to explore how all-or-nothing thinking impacts teens—and how supportive, balanced perspectives can help them build resilience and confidence.
At Clear Behavioral Health, we’re committed to helping teens challenge unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier ways to navigate life’s ups and downs. 💛
