                                            Change is a Coming
If I made your stomach drop a bit, well then, good on me, hehe. I want to make sure everyone knows of some major changes taking place in the new year. I am absolutely thrilled about the exciting development that will transform my business. I urge everyone to take note of the details that were shared, as they are sure to bring about some major improvements.
Welcome To
I am delighted to announce that I am moving on to a better and more efficient system. 2022 has been a whirlwind of activity, and I anticipate 2023 to be just as busy. With this hectic pace, I have found it difficult to give all of my amazing clients the attention they deserve with their questions, scheduling issues, and other needs. This is why I am so excited to be transitioning to Vagaro. I am confident that this new system will bring many advantages, though there may be a few bumps in the road as we adjust. Let's take a look at the good and the no so fun stuff.
The Good
I'm so excited to tell you about the Vagaro App ( I highly recommend you download it on Apple (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/vagaro/id536110000) or Google (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vagaro&hl=en_US&gl=US&pli=1) ) - it's a game-changer for managing our appointments!
- You can easily check your upcoming appointment time without having to text or ask me, so it saves us both time.
- There is an automatic waitlist, so if you're hoping for a specific date and time that isn't available, you can add your name to the list and you'll automatically get notified if someone cancels.
- Vagaro is HIPPA-compliant, so all of your information is kept safe and secure, and your treatment notes, intakes, and appointments are all synced together. This might be more exciting for me, but this streamlining is going to help our sessions!
New Site
Along with my new schedule and checkout system, I am launching a new website for my business, Gettys Muscle Therapy. The website will have the same name and address, but with a cleaner look.
Check it out in the new year.
The Not-So-Fun Part
Like anything worth doing, there is always a price of admission. I was unable to transfer over client intakes, SOAP notes, and cards on file. So, everyone will need to submit new general and covid intake forms, along with providing cards on file for easy checkout. While it may be inconvenient, I am confident that this step will help us create a streamlined system and I am excited to see the results of this effort.
Niching More and More
Today is the winter solstice, which usually is a time to reflect on the past and plan ahead for the coming year.
I have been reflecting a lot on my journey in bodywork and it has been an incredible experience. I started out in spas and then moved to sports massage, but now I have been niching more and more with neuromuscular and myofascial therapy. I have found a passion in rehabilitative therapy and I am so grateful for the opportunity to help others.
However, I feel that many clients are still relying on me to fix their soft-tissue problems, rather than taking the necessary steps to help themselves. I cannot stress this enough: what you do at home for your body every day is much more important than anything I do for you in a treatment session. I want clients to see me more like Mary Poppins. She flies in with her umbrella, helps guide Jane and Michael, and then when they are all better, she moves on to the next, (and I say this with all the love in my heart), problem child. With this in mind, I am going to be switching my treatment models, even more, pushing myself and pushing clients to be progressive in their soft tissue recovery. I hope everyone can see the benefit to their health with these changes and will continue on this journey with me.
Happy and safe holiday season to you and yours!
