For many people, this caring for ones-self only happens when we “splurge” or reward ourself with the things that we think are extra.
In reality these are typically the things that we truly need to keep us centered, connected, and adapting.
This approach of treating self care as something extra is NOT how we get better, and not how we teach others or the next generations.
We can care for ourselves NOW.
By prioritizing self and spending time on our healing we can actually grow out of old symptoms, patterns, and habits in the present, AND learn to continue this adaptation into the future.
This is not about escaping our current state of symptoms or habits, this is about learning to become aware and shift out of these patterns on our own so that we can continue to help ourselves. This empowers us to continue the healing, the growth, and the adaptation into the future.
